1..Basically this chat is providing some useful information regarding the weathering of minerals and rocks. 2.. what is actually weathering? weather in is nothing but degradation of some rocks from their stable state to unstable state. 3..when weathering is accompanied by erosion it causes material loss from one place to and deposition in another place. 4..you start reading this chat from below (Parent material) if is of unconsolidated lose rock or unstable mineral which are highly affected by thermodynamic factors it will cause weathering. parent material of having high porosity although it is consolidated good drainage will cause weathering. ORGANIC ACTIVITIES plant growth and carbonate production comes under organic activities so they will use CO2 ,O2 ,H2O and will cause weathering... thermodynamic factors are also helpfull. TOPOGRAPHY in mountain areas good drainage system will cause tear down of mountains to flat.. CLIMATE 1.WARM continuous heat and cool breaks the bond in the rocks and causes weathering this happens in warm tropical ( direct heat from sun throughout the year mainly PRECIPITATION rainy season of course you know will wash out lose materials.. BOTH ARE USING KINETIC FACTOR TO ACTIVATE REACTION BY TEMPERATURE AND WATER AS AGENT OR CATALYST
