I is most acidic due to ortho effect. then ii and iii..ii is more acidic than iii because in ii CH3 group is present at meta position so only +I effect work while in case of iii, CH3 group is present at para position so +R effect work which destabilize the carbanion more tha +I effect in cpd ii

yes, Simun do you have any doubt?

    eduncle-logo-app

but how to know here ortho effect is work and according to +m and +I it is least stable

    eduncle-logo-app

yes I m very confuse in this ortho effect

    eduncle-logo-app

wait I'm explaing you ortho effect.. I'll help you

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok

    eduncle-logo-app

can u clear out that ...all effects which are applicable for checking the acidity of compounds

    eduncle-logo-app

first remember always ortho effect works only in benzoic acid and aniline when any group present at ortho position. “Ortho-isomer of Benzoic acid is strongest Acid as compared to Simple benzoic acid or meta & para-isomers & Ortho- isomer of Aniline is Weakest Base as compared to Simple Aniline or meta & para-isomers.”

simun you know we've already discussed about SIR effect, and now ortho effect. don't be confused with then actually SIR effect works in all the 1,2,3 tri substituted compounds while ortho effect works only in benzoic acid and aniline having groups at ortho position

    eduncle-logo-app

so whne you see benzoic acid and aniline, and it it is ortho substitute then always ortho effect work so you don't need to be confused

    eduncle-logo-app

now tell me if you have any confusion regarding this concept

    eduncle-logo-app

if ortho effect is present the compound is most stable and acidic

    eduncle-logo-app

pls tell me all effects to find acidic strength or short tricks

    eduncle-logo-app

in case of benzoic acid it is most acidic while in case of aniline we will check basicity. it will least basic

    eduncle-logo-app

also explain CARDIO rule for acidic strength and what is it ?

    eduncle-logo-app

do you have clear SIR effect and ortho effect??

    https://www.masterorganicchemistry.com/2010/09/22/five-key-factors-that-influence-acidity/

    eduncle-logo-app

open above link for cardio rule.. it is nothing but combination of rules.Charge Atom Resonance Dipole Induction Orbitals = CARDIO.

    eduncle-logo-app

    hope this will help you

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes
