3. Promotion of Science Education (POSE) Scholarship Scheme 2018-19

 

This B.Sc. Scholarship is for the students who have passed their class 12th in Science or completed their graduation in Science. It’s a merit-based scholarship that encourages students towards science education. This scholarship is offered by Haryana State Council for Science & Technology.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

This scholarship for B.Sc. students need you to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

 

1. Students must have taken admission to following courses in the year 2018:

 

3-year BSc/4-year BS or 5-year integrated MSc/MS program in basic and natural sciences at IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, DAE-CBS or in any college/university in India.

 

2-year MSc program in basic and natural science.

 

2. For admission to UG degree, students must have passed class 10th and 12th from a school situated in Haryana with minimum 85% marks for Haryana Board School and 90% marks for other boards like CBSE/ICSE etc. in class 12th.

 

3. For admission to M.Sc. degree students must have passed class 10th, 12th and BSc/BA (BA for MSc Mathematics) from a school/college/university situated in Haryana with minimum 75% marks in BSc/BA.

 

 

Scholarship Awarded

4. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)

 

This B.Sc. Scholarship was initiated by Department of Science and Technology to help poor and deserving students to pursue basic science courses and research career in science.  This is the scholarship for B.Sc. 1st year students only.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

To apply for this scholarship, students need to first satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

 

Students studying in the 1st year of their graduation in Basic Science related course (BSc/BS/BStat/BMath). or, Integrated MSc, MS and have scored at least 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in maths, physics, chemistry, biology in class 12th are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

 

 

Scholarship Awarded

 

Students in 1st to 3rd year of graduation will get Rs. 5000/- per month and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 20,000.

 

Students in 4th to 5th year of M.Sc. and Integrated course will get Rs. 7000/- per month and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 28,000.

5. Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship Programme 2018

 

It’s a scholarship programme for the students who want to pursue the graduation degree in engineering, medical, science, law, pharmacy business management and other social sciences. This scholarship provides financial assistance to the needy and deserving students.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Students who have passed their Class 12th exam and are declared in the merit list of their state board or CBSE board are eligible for this B.Sc. Scholarship 2018.

Candidates must be in the final year/semester of M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering / B.Sc.[Tech] and have scored above 60% marks in their previous year/semester.

The selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month. This fellowship will be provided for two years.

To apply for this B.Sc. Scholarship, students need to follow these eligibility criteria:

 

Students should have passed their examination in the current year and in first attempt only. Students passed in the previous year are not eligible for this scholarship.

 

Category A- For Class 9th & 10th Students: You have to secure at least 75% marks in Class 8th.

 

Category B- For Class 11th & 12th Students: You have to secure at least 75% marks in Class 10th.

 

Category C- Students in their graduation course have to secure at least 75% marks for Science/Commerce stream and 65% marks for Humanities/Arts stream in class 12th.

 

Category D- For post-graduation students, you have to secure at least 60% marks for Science & Commerce and 50% marks for Humanities and Arts in your graduation.

For Category A- 15 students will get Rs. 400 per month for 2 years.

11. Central Sector Scheme of National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students

 

This scholarship is offered to the meritorious ST students who want to pursue UG and PG Courses in Medical, Management, Engineering, Law etc.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Students need to satisfy the following eligibility criteria to apply for this scholarship:

 

ST students who have secured admission in the notified Institutions according to the norms prescribed by the respective Institutions will be eligible for the scholarship under the scheme.

 

Students can only join the list of Institutions identified by the Ministry.

 

Student’s family income should not exceed Rs. 6 lakh per year.

 

Once the student has taken the admission and started attending the classes only then she/he will get the scholarship.

 

The scholarship will be provided till the completion of the course but only as per the satisfactory performance of the student.

 

 

Scholarship Awarded

 

ST student will be awarded the following assistance:

 

Tuition Fees- Full tuition fees will be provided to the student.

12. Post-matric Scholarship for Student with Disabilities

 

This scholarship is offered to the students with disabilities to continue their study in Class 11, 12, graduate and post-graduate level. All graduate and post-graduate degree/ diploma courses recognized by UGC/AICTE will be covered in this scholarship.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Students need to satisfy the following eligibility criteria to apply for this scholarship:

 

This scholarship will not be offered for the training courses like Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Courses and Private Pilot License Courses.

 

Students who have passed any higher examination are eligible for this scholarship.

 

Students who have pursued one level of education are studying at the same level in different subjects will not be eligible for this scholarship.

 

Students pursuing L.L.B/B.Ed./B.El.Ed. after pursuing B.A./B.Sc./B.E. are eligible for this scholarship.

 

Students pursuing two different courses simultaneously can apply for this scholarship for any one course.

 

Students studying in Class 11 of the Higher Secondary School courses of the 12 Class of the Multipurpose High School will not be eligible for this course.

 

Students after failing or passing the UG exams in Arts/Science/Commerce join the professional or technical certificate/diploma/degree courses will be eligible for this scholarship.

 

Students who pursue their course through correspondence are also eligible.

 

Employed students whose income combined with their parent’s income does not exceed the maximum prescribed income ceiling are eligible for this scholarship.
