SBI Clerk Eligibility 2020 – Age Limit, Qualification and Relaxations

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2020 – Qualification, Age Limit & Nationality

 

As per the SBI exam norms there are some of the eligibility criteria which an aspirant has to fulfil to appear in the exam. Only after fulfilling all the criterion candidate is eligible for the exam.

Educational Qualification

 

Candidate must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent degree recognised by the Central Government.

Candidates those having an integrated dual degree are also eligible, but they must ensure that their date of passing is on or before 31st August 2020.

Such candidates who are in the final year or semester of their graduation can also appear in the exam but the condition which is applicable is that if candidates selected, they need to provide the proof of having passed the graduation on or before 31st August 2020.

 

Age Limit

 

Candidate should not be less than 20 years of age and not more than 28 years of age as on 1st April 2020. Candidate must not be born before 2nd April 1990 and after 1st April 2000.

Note: Candidates who are eligible for age relaxation must provide the valid document at the time of joining.

 

Nationality

 

A candidate must be either –

A Citizen of India or

A Subject of Nepal or

A Subject of Bhutan or

A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 

 

SBI Clerk Eligibility 2020 - Number of Attempts

 

State bank of India has not mentioned any details regarding this information. So, the candidate can appear in the exam as many times he/she wants to.

 

SBI Bank Clerk Eligibility - Other Important Factors

 

Those candidates who belong to the OBC category but falling in the ‘creamy layer’ are not entitled for relaxation which are given to the OBC ‘non-creamy layer’ category. Candidates who belong to the Non-creamy layer must submit the OBC category certificate prescribed as per the Government of India. Those candidates who belong to the creamy layer they need to mention “general” or “general (LD/VI/HI/d&e) category.

Candidates who are the part of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category can be availed the benefit as “Income and Assets certificate” issued by a Competent Authority on the format prescribed by Government of India.

Candidates who are working in the State bank of India as PO or clerical cadre are not eligible to apply again for the same recruitment and Ex-employers are also not eligible.

Ex-employers have any adverse report regarding the character & antecedents, etc are not eligible to apply.

PwD candidates need to produce the “Disability Certificate” as a proof issued by Medical or any Component Authority in district of residence.

Note: During appointment, disabled Ex-servicemen and their dependents have priority over dependents of defence personnel killed or highly disabled (50%).
