The campus of IIT Delhi was established in 1961 to develop the science, engineering, and technology field. It is situated in Hauz Khas in South Delhi.

 

IIT Delhi Campus Area is divided into four functional zones.

 

Residential Zone for students that includes hostels, students’ canteen etc.

 

 Faculty and Staff Residential Zone

 

 Recreational Area for students that includes the football stadium, lawn tennis courts and swimming pool, cricket ground, basketball courts, Student Activity Center (SAC), hockey field.

IIT Delhi Events/ Fest in IIT Delhi

 

 

As you all know IIT Delhi Campus is most famous for its infrastructure with gardens, lawns, residential complex and wide roads. It organizes many events in which Tryst and Rendezvous is the largest festival in India. The annual technical festival Tryst is organized by Co-curricular and Academic Interaction Council (CAIC) and Rendezvous is organized by Board for Recreational and Creative Activities (BRCA).

 

 

Tryst (Festival) – It is an annual technical festival which organized by IIT Delhi students in February and March. Tryst IIT Delhi includes the events of: –

Rendezvous – It is a largest cultural festival in north India conducted by IIT Delhi. It is a four-day long event held in October. Rendezvous IIT Delhi organizes 100+ competitive events with 20 lakh prize money.

Placements and Internships Offered at IIT Delhi

 

 

IIT Delhi is considered the best institute in all over India. The reason is highly placement records. Every year, more than 300 companies come to the campus and 800+ students get placed with high packages.

IIT Delhi provides two internships for design units.

 

The first one is the Summer Internship for 50 working days after 6th semester. The main motive of the IIT Delhi Summer Internship 2018 is to provide the practical knowledge of theoretical concepts. This internship helps the students in their final year projects.

 

And the second one is Semester-long internship of 100 days duration, in which a student can earn 5 design units.
