IIT JAM is the Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Admission Test for those candidates who want to pursue an M.Sc. from IIT and IISc.
Important Notes-
There are some changes made in the IIT JAM exam in term of the number of subjects and the test schedule of the exam.
The Biological Science subject was removed from the test schedule in the 2020 exam.
Candidates who want to apply for the IIT JAM exam with Biological Science will find the path to get admission in IITs, IISc through Biotechnology subject as because, both the subjects have most of the similarities in terms of syllabus and career scope.
Even aspirants have benefits if they choose the IIT JAM biotechnology because there are more seats available for this course in IITs as compared to Biological Science. So, this is a great opportunity to get a seat in IITs, IISc, NITs for MSc, and other available courses.
A new subject Economics has been included in JAM 2021 exam. This year, the exam will be organized in seven subjects.

How Can You Take Admission in MSc After Qualifying the JAM?
Candidates have a question in mind that how can they take admission for MSc in IITs or IISc after qualifying the IIT JAM Exam. Below, you can check the admission process after clearing the exam.
After qualifying the IIT JAM Exam, you can log in to the JAM Online Application Process System website (JOAPS) and fill the required details and submit it. You can fill the choice of programmes in order of preference.
According to preference as given in the counselling form and corresponding rank in the Merit List (After completing your counselling process), the First Admission List will be prepared by Organizing Institute for each programme under IIT JAM.
If seats remain vacant after the first admission process is over, the Organizing Institute will prepare a Second Admission List and then, Third Admission List.
With the Third Admission List, the admission process will be closed.
