IIT JAM Exam 2017 is going to be held in the month of February!
As per the Test Schedule, the exam will be administered in two sessions-
The candidates who are appearing for Physics (PH) or Mathematics (MH) or Biological Science (BL) will be giving the exam in Session-I (9 am to 12 pm).
The candidates are appearing for Chemistry (CY) or Biotechnology (BT) or Geology (GG) or Mathematical Statistics (MS) will be giving the exam in Session-II (2 pm to 5 pm).
The official website has released a notice regarding instructions to candidates, so those who are wishing to appear in the exam should follow the instructions given below-
Please Report to the Exam Centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam.
(Candidates will be permitted to occupy their allotted seats 35 minutes before the exam and they can login and start reading their question paper 20 minutes before the start of the examination.)
Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 9:30 am (for Session-I) and 2:30 pm (for Session-II).
The candidates won’t be permitted to enter the examination hall without Admit Card or Hall Ticket.
The candidates should also carry original valid photo identity proof along with the admit card.
The details mentioned in Admit Card should be relevant.
(In case you find any discrepancy/ error in the signature/ photo in the admit card. kindly email to the official website with a subject code “Error in Admit Card” from your registered email address please specify name, enrollment id and nature of the problem.)
The aspirants don’t need to carry any copy or paper as the Scribble Pads will be provided at the Time of Examination. The candidates will have to write their Name and Register Number on these pads.
The Scribble Pads can be used for any Rough Work and should be returned to the invigilators at the end of the examination.
Mobile Phones, Calculator or any other Electronic Devices are banned inside the Examination Hall.
The candidates are strictly advises not to talk during examination.
Candidates should not tamper with the Computer and the related hardware provided in the examination hall. Otherwise, their candidature will be cancelled and appropriate legal action will also be taken against such candidates.
Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before the end of the examination.
