The Centralized Counselling for MSc Programs serves as a gateway for JAM qualified candidates to take admissions in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and some Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).
The JAM qualified candidates can go for the IIT JAM Admission Procedure to get a seat in an IIT or IISc. But, the aspirants who fail to match the required criteria for IITs and IISc Admissions can apply for the CCMN 2020 Procedure and get their MSc goals accomplished with the NITs and CFTIs.
According to the latest update, CCMN has declared the 2nd Special Round Seat Allotment Result on 7th Sep 2020 based on IIT JAM 2020 Scores.
The selected students can check their result by entering the JAM registration ID-password and complete further admission procedure by paying the institution fees.
As per the latest CCMN Notification, the exam conducting authorities have released a revised schedule for IIT JAM regular rounds as well as the special rounds of admission procedure.

NOTE: The officials have released a Tentative CCMN Vacant Seat Matrix, however, students may fill the choices even if there is no seat vacant in any particular programme because during dynamic allotment there may be other seats falling vacant. Also, there may be more seats vacant due to the withdrawal process going on.

There are total 21 institutes (19 NITs and 2 CFTIs) that are participating in IIT JAM Admission through CCMN.
For the ease of aspirants, here we have provided courses fee structure of various NITs and CFTIs through the CCMN Counselling Procedure for the year 2020. This fee structure may vary as per the institutes.
The amount mentioned in this table is the fee for the institute. The balance fee will be collected after the adjustment of the seat acceptance fee already paid by the candidates.
This fee excludes the hostel & mess fee, which will be charged to students using the hostel facility at the time of physical reporting at the institute.

The Online Form Submission for CCMN Counselling consists of the following steps –

Register at CCMN with your JAM details.
Fill all the asked information accurately and verify it. Preview the details and submit them carefully.
Set a new password and Use OTP to generate PI (Permanent Identifier)
Login with PID or Password to fill the other vital information like – Personal & Bank Details. Scan & Upload the Required Documents – JAM Score Card, Category Certificates, Birth Certificates or 10th Marksheet and Marksheet of 12th and Graduation.
Upload the Photo, Signature & Documents in Original Format. (Size should be less than 1 MB)

After filling up all the personal details and uploading the required documents, candidates need to mention their choices of programmes in the order of their preference from the list of eligible programmes offered by various PIs appearing in their respective CCMN login
A candidate can fill multiple choices within a single form but he/she should fulfill the eligibility criteria for the preferred choices.
After filling up all the choices, candidates need to Lock them. Candidates will not be able to add/delete/reorder after locking the choice list or due date and time of choice filling is over
The candidates are requested to pay the registration fee of INR 2500/- by using SBI MOPS (Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, SBI e-Challan). Check some important points that need to be considered while paying the fee.
CCMN will not be responsible for any payments made by candidates after the due date.
For e-Challan, generate the e-Challan form by login to CCMN portal.
e-Callan can be generated only once for registration fee and seat acceptance fee.
Candidates can deposit this e-Challan at any SBI branch to pay the fee.
If the challan is generated but the payment is not done, then the application process will be incomplete.

After the Successful Submission of Online Forms, the 1st Round of Seat Allotments Result will be declared. Lets’ see what the candidates would be required to do thereafter.

The candidates who get the seats in the 1st Round must confirm whether they are accepting the allotted seat or not. If they click on NO, they will no more be able to do the CCMN Counselling 2020.
But If they click on YES, they will have to choose one between the ‘Freeze’ and ‘Float’ options.
Those who accept the seat must submit the Counselling Participation Fee of INR 10,00/- (SC/ST/PwD) & INR 15,000/- (Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC) and <Choose “Freeze” or “Float”>
Freeze: If the candidate has been allotted the ‘Choice No. 3’ and he/she agrees to accept the choice, then the ‘Freeze’ option should be chosen to lock the seat.
Float: If the candidate wants to upgrade to the Highest Possible Choice, then he/she must choose ‘Float’ option to take part in the 2nd Round of Counselling.
Note: The above mentioned fee is a part of the institute fee, which will be later adjusted against the finally allotted Institute’s admission fee

The candidates who are allotted the seats in the 2nd Round of Counselling may either clicks on YES or NO. If they click on NO, they will be exited from the CCMN Counselling 2020.
If they click on YES, they need to pay the Counselling Participation Fee of INR 10,00/- (SC/ST/PwD) & INR 15,000/- (Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC) (Only in the case of Fresh Allotments) and <Choose “Freeze” or “Float” option>
If they choose the Float Option, then they need to wait for the 3rd Round of Counselling.
Note: The candidates who were allotted seats in the 1st & 2nd Round of Counselling and wish to surrender must do it on or before the start of 3rd Counselling.

Based on the surrendered and remaining seats, the candidates are allotted a seat in this 3rd Round of Counselling.
The candidates who are allotted the seats in this final round must either accept it by choosing the Option ‘Freeze’ and pay the Counselling Participation Fee of INR 10,000/- (SC/ST/PwD) & INR 15,000/- (Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC) or reject it by simply clicking on NO.
After the completion of all the 3 Rounds of Counselling, the selected candidates will be able to get their Provisional Allotment Letters (PAL) to join their respective institutes. The PAL can be downloaded after the 3rd Round of Seat Allotment.

Special Announcement:
The candidates who haven’t got any seat allotted in this third round must wait for the Final Announcement of Vacancies. If there are any vacant seats, they might have a chance to get admission in one of the premier institutes.
The Candidates who have to surrender their seat online can get the refund of their CPF after the deduction of INR 1000/- or INR 2000 or INR 3000 (Depends on stage where you surrender). The refund will be initiated only in the case of Valid Seat Surrender.

Q.1) What documents are to be uploaded during registration for CCMN?
Ans.) Candidates who want to fill the CCMN Registration form must have some important documents (clear scanned copy in pdf format) to upload in CCMN Application Form. Such as: -
JAM Scorecard.
A Certificate as proof for “Date of Birth” (Preferably the certificates issued in English / Hindi language).
Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PwD), if applicable.
Mark sheet of the qualifying examination.
Cumulative mark-sheet showing the final result/ total marks for the complete program.
If the final examination result is yet to be published, then the candidate needs to upload a self-declaration as per the Performa.
Q.2) In how many NITs/CFTIs or programmers can I apply in CCMN Form?
Ans.) After registration, candidates can fill many choices from the lists. There is no requirement to fill the separate application form for each NIT/ CFTI. But it is important to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria of that NIT.
Q.3) What is PID?
Ans.) PID is a Permanent Identifier that is self-generated after registration and successful payment of registration fee by a candidate. PID is unique and will serve as the sole number to be used for all further communications with CCMN.
Q.4) What is the locking of choices? Is it necessary to lock and after locking can I modify or unlock?
Ans.) Yes, it is necessary because the lock is an option indicating the finalization of choices after which the candidates can print their choices in the final format. After locking the choices, you can’t modify or unlock it.
