CCMN 2024 Counselling Procedure: Eligibility, Dates, Fees

CCMN stands for Centralized Counselling for M.Sc. and is conducted for students who want to get admission in NITs after clearing the IIT JAM exam.

The application process for the Centralised Counselling for MSc/MSc (Tech) or CCMN 2024 is expected to begin in the first week of June 2024. The CCMN 2024 application and registration process is completely online. Applicants need to use IIT JAM 2024 registration credentials to complete the registration process for CCMN 2024.

Every year, CCMN process is conducted by one of the NITs, and this year, The CCMN counselling process is conducted based on IIT JAM 2024 scores. Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is conducting the CCMN counselling this year.

What is CCMN 2024? Facts, Process, and Participating Institutes

 

CCMN serves as a gateway for JAM qualified candidates to take admissions in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and some Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).

The JAM qualified candidates can go for the IIT JAM Admission Procedure to get an IIT or IISc. But the aspirants who fail to match the required criteria for IITs and IISc admissions can apply for the CCMN Counselling 2023 and get admission in NITs and CFTIs.

 

CCMN 2024 Important Dates & Calendar (Revised Dates)

 

The schedule of CCMN 2024 has released and Its pre- registraion has started from14th may 2024.

Note:

CCMN Counselling 2024 seat allotment for National Sport Round has been declared on  August, 2024

Last date to upload documents, and specify willingness or withdrawal of CCMN Special Round is- 07 June,2024 (5.30 Pm IST)   

CCMN Special Round - 1 seat allotment has been declared and the last date for document uploading (online), specifying willingness (Freeze/Float/ Slide), and withdrawal is 12 June to 18 june. 2024 (till 5:00 pM IST).

Date of registartion for Special Rounds (Phase-2) of CCMN Counselling Process 2024 is 24 June, 2024.

Payment of Registration and Participation Fee (online) for Special Rounds (Phase-2) of CCMN Counselling Process 2024 is Sunday, 27, June, 2024 (12:30 PM IST)

As per the latest notification of CCMN Counselling 2024 candidates of all previous rounds have to pay the partial entrance fee to confirm admission to the finally allotted institute between 27th-28th June.

The last date to raise any query for issues related to online document verification and withdrawal under CCMN Counselling Round 3 has been extended to 1st July 2024.

The last date for payment of seat acceptance fee, document submission, will (freeze/float/slide) and withdrawal under CCMN counseling process 2024 of Round-3 has been extended to 1th July 2024.

Candidates of previous rounds have to deposit a partial amount of admission fees online on the CCMN online portal to confirm their admission between 1th -4th July 2024.

Physical reporting and joining in the finally allotted institute along with the balance fee will take place according to National Spot Round(NSR)

.

Official has increased the last date of Seat Acceptance fee, Documents submission, and willingness (Freeze/Float/ Slide) and withdrawal. Now, you can upload documents for seat acceptance fee, will and verification till 1st July 2022.

The seat allotment for CCMN Counseling 2022 Round II has been released on June 28. You can upload documents, seat acceptance fee, will and verification till June 29.

As per recent notification of CCMN counseling, some institutes made changes in seat matrix, fee, & added some new programmes. List of CCMN 2024 Participating NITs & CFTIs + Course Fee Structure

 

There are 22 CCMN participating institutes (20 NITs and IIEST Shibpur, and SLIET Longowal) for admissions through IIT JAM.

For the ease of aspirants, we have provided the course fee structure of various NITs and CFTIs through the CCMN Counselling Procedure. The balance fee will be collected after adjusting the seat acceptance fee already paid by the candidates.

This fee excludes the hostel & mess fee, which will be charged to students using the hostel facility at the time of physical reporting at the institute.

CCMN 2024 Admission & Counselling Process Defined [Guidelines]

 

For the benefit of thousands of students struggling to get the correct information on the CCMN 2024 process, we are providing every piece of information in this section- Right from the CCMN Registration to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Round of Seat Allotments & Counselling.

CCMN Application Form Filling & Submission:

 

 

The Online Form Submission for CCMN Counselling 2024 consists of the following steps –

 

1. CCMN Registration:

 

Please follow the steps for successful registration.

Register at CCMN with your JAM details.

Fill in all the asked information accurately and verify it. Preview the details and submit them carefully.

Set a new password and Use OTP to generate PI (Permanent Identifier)

Login with PID or Password to fill in the other vital information like – Personal & Bank Details. Scan & Upload the Required Documents – JAM Score Card, Category Certificates, Birth Certificates or 10^th Marksheet and Marksheet of 12^th and Graduation.

Upload the Photo, Signature & Documents in Original Format. (Size should be less than 1 MB)

2. Filling up of Preferences/Choices:

 

After filling up all the personal details and uploading the required documents, candidates need to mention their choices of programmes in the order of their preference from the list of eligible programmes offered by various PIs appearing in their respective CCMN login.

A candidate can fill multiple choices within a single form, but they should fulfill the eligibility criteria for the preferred options.

After filling up all the choices, candidates need to lock them. Candidates will not be able to add/delete/reorder after locking the choice list or the due date and time of choice filling is over.

 

3. Fee Payment:

 

The candidates are requested to pay the registration fee (INR 3,000/- for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC ₹ 2,500/- for SC/ST/PwD) by using ICICI Bank online mode (Net Banking/Debit Card/I-Sure Pay) or e-Challan. Check some important points that need to be considered while paying the fee.

CCMN will not be responsible for any payments made by candidates after the due date.

For e-Challan, generate the e-Challan form by login into the CCMN portal.

e-Callan can be generated only once for registration and seat acceptance fees.

Candidates can deposit this e-Challan at any ICICI branch to pay the fee.

If the challan is generated but the payment is not made, then the application process will be incomplete.

After the Successful Submission of Online Forms, the 1st Round of Seat Allotments results will be declared. Lets’ see what the candidates would be required to do thereafter.

1st Round of Counselling:

 

 

The candidates who get the seats in the 1st Round must confirm whether they are accepting the allotted seat or not. If they click on NO, they will no more be able to do the CCMN Counselling 2024.

But If they click on YES, they will have to choose one between the ‘Freeze’ and ‘Float’ options.

Those who accept the seat must submit the Counselling Participation Fee of INR 10,000/- (SC/ST/PwD) & INR 30,000/- (Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC) and Choose “Freeze” or “Float”.

 

Freeze: If the candidate has been allotted the ‘Choice No. 3’ and agrees to accept the choice, then the ‘Freeze’ option should be chosen to lock the seat.

Float: If the candidate wants to upgrade to the Highest Possible Choice, they must choose the ‘Float’ option to participate in the 2nd Round of Counselling.

 

Note: The fee mentioned above is a part of the institute fee, which will be later adjusted against the finally allotted Institute’s admission fee.

2nd Round of Counselling:

 

 

The candidates who are allotted the seats in the 2nd Round of Counselling may either click on YES or NO. If they click on NO, they will be exited from the CCMN Counselling 2024.

If they click on YES, they need to pay the Counselling Participation Fee of INR 10,000/- (SC/ST/PwD) & INR 30,000/- (Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC) (Only in the case of Fresh Allotments) and Choose “Freeze” or “Float” option.

If they choose the Float Option, they need to wait for the 3rd Round of Counselling.

 

Note: The candidates who were allotted seats in the 1st & 2nd Round of Counselling and wished to surrender must do it on or before the start of 3rd Counselling.

3rd Round of Counselling:

 

 

Based on the surrendered and remaining seats, the candidates are allotted seats in this 3rd Round of Counselling.

The candidates who are allotted the seats in this final round must either accept it by choosing the Option ‘Freeze’ and pay the Counselling Participation Fee of INR 10,000/- (SC/ST/PwD) & INR 30,000/- (Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC) or reject it by simply clicking on NO.

 

After completing all the 3 Rounds of Counselling, the selected candidates will be able to get their Provisional Allotment Letters (PAL) to join their respective institutes. The PAL can be downloaded after the 3rd Round of Seat Allotment.

Special Announcement:  

The candidates who haven’t got any seat allotted in this third round must wait for the Final Announcement of Vacancies. If there are any vacant seats, they might have a chance to get admission to one of the premier institutes.

The Candidates who have to surrender their seat online can get a refund of their CPF after the deduction (depends on the stage where you surrender). The refund will be initiated only in the case of a Valid Seat Surrender.

Q.1) What documents are to be uploaded during registration for CCMN?

Ans.) Candidates who want to fill out the CCMN Registration form must have some essential documents (clear scanned copy in pdf format) to upload in CCMN Application Form. Such as: -

JAM Scorecard.

A Certificate as proof for “Date of Birth” (Preferably the certificates issued in English / Hindi).

Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PwD), if applicable.

Mark sheet of the qualifying examination.

Cumulative mark-sheet showing the final result/ total marks for the complete program.

If the final examination result is yet to be published, the candidate must upload a self-declaration as per the Performa.

 

 

Q.2) In how many NITs/CFTIs or programmers do I can apply in CCMN Form?

Ans.) After registration, candidates can fill in many choices from the lists. There is no requirement to fill a separate application form for each NIT/ CFTI. But it is important to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria of that NIT.

 

 

Q.3) What is PID?

Ans.) PID is a Permanent Identifier that is self-generated after registration and successful payment of registration fee by a candidate. PID is unique and will serve as the sole number to be used for all further communications with CCMN.

 

 

Q.4) What is the locking of choices? Is it necessary to lock, and can I modify or unlock after locking?

Ans.) Yes, choice locking in CCMN is necessary because the lock indicates the finalization of choices, after which the candidates can print their choices in the final format. After locking the choices, you can’t modify or unlock them.
