Important IIT JAM Registration Details

 

Your name in the IIT JAM application form 2025 must exactly be the same as per the qualifying degree certificate. You do not need to use prefix/title such as Mr./Shri/Dr/Mrs./Smt, etc. before the name.

 

The candidate doesn't need to send hard copies of documents to the organizing institute. The applicable documents are to be uploaded online to the official website only.

 

OBC-NCL/EWS candidates are not required to upload any category certificate along with the filled JAM 2025 application form.

How to Apply for IIT JAM Exam 2025? – Complete Guide

 

IIT JAM 2025 Registration is allowed through online mode at the JOPAS portal.

Check the complete step-by-step procedure to fill out the JAM online form as given below:

 

Step 1 – IIT JAM Registration 2025 through JOAPS Portal

 

Go to the JOAPS Website and click on “New User? Register Here”.

 

 

 

Fill in all the details asked such as name, mobile number, email, and password, etc.

 

Note - The mobile number and e-mail id will be used for further communication by the authority, so make sure they are valid and not used by anyone else. One email ID can be used by you for JAM Online Registration.

 

 

 

 

After submitting the required details, you will get a confirmation message and a unique Enrolment ID through e-mail or SMS.

 

Save it for further use such as filling the IIT JAM application form 2025, admit card, result, etc.

Step 2 - Fill the Complete Details

 

Now, log in to the website using the Enrollment ID to complete the form filling process.

 

A welcome screen will open showing application status. Click on the “Edit Application Form” button.

 

After clicking on it, you will be redirected to the following page. Fill in all the required details like personal, communication, qualifying degree, details of exam center, etc.

 

Note - The Convener authority released the list of  IIT JAM Exam Centres.

 

Step 3 – Upload the Photograph and Signature in IIT JAM Online Form

 

Now, you should upload the high-quality scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed format -

 

Photographs must be in the range of 50 KB to 200 KB (3.5 cm width and 4.5 cm height).

 

The signature must be in the range of 5 KB to 150 KB (2 cm height and 7 cm width).

 

Mark the checkbox to accept the declaration and click on the “Proceed to Payment” button.

Step 4 - Submit IIT JAM Fees for 2025 Exam

 

Choose the appropriate mode of payment to submit the fee from available options such as Net Banking, Card Payment, or Other Payment Modes.

 

Type the captcha and click on the "Proceed to Payment" button.

 

Choose the mode of payment from the available options like net banking, card payment, UPI payment, etc. Fill in all the required details for payment and click on the “Make Payment” button.

 

 

You will get a confirmation message “Online Payment made successfully” after paying the fee. You should save the IIT JAM Application Form 2025 or download the PDF for further use.

 

Important Note-

 

If you are not sure about your IIT JAM Exam fee payment status because of any specific reason (weak internet connection or power failure) kindly login again with the help of login credentials and look for your payment status.

 

If the status shown is “Fee Pending or Not paid”, please go for a new payment at the JOAPS fee payment portal and follow the complete payment procedure again.

IIT JAM Application Form Correction 2025

 

The Joint Admission Test correction window has opened on 6th November 2024. You can make necessary corrections in the Application form from 6th to 18th November 2024 through the JOAPS online portal. Make sure that you have filled in the correct information, as this will be the last chance for the correction.

 

Correction in IIT JAM Application Form 2025 will be allowed as follows-

 

Change in Personal Information like Your Name, Date of Birth, Parent/Guardian’s Name, etc.

 

Change in Gender, Category, PwD status information

 

Change of examination city/town preference

 

Add Second Test Papers

 

Note- Changes in the mobile number and email address are not allowed in the form.

If you want to change or add another test subject, then you can add a test paper or change the test paper by paying some additional fees as mentioned in the table ahead.

There are no charges for correction in personal information and examination city preference.

 

The additional fee for making changes in gender/ category or addition of a second test paper can be submitted in online payment mode through NET Banking, Debit/ Credit card/ UPI.
