Here comes the good news for the candidates who are waiting for the exam notification. IIT JAM 2019 Exam will be conducted on 10th February 2019.
The registration process for IIT JAM 2019 has already completed. Last date to fill the application form was 12th Oct. 2018.
JAM exam is conducted through the eight IITs & IISc zones on the rotational basis. Candidates are required to follow some basic guidelines to select the IIT JAM Exam Centre.
IIT JAM Exam Centres 2019 – Important Points to Keep in Mind!
Candidates have three choices to select the Exam Cities for JAM at the time of application form submission. Then the council allots the IIT JAM Exam Centre according to candidate’s preferences for cities.
When you choose the first city, the zone gets determined and you have to choose 2 other cities from that zone only.
The exam city has one or more exam centres of IIT JAM Exam.

How to Change Exam Centre Under Exceptional Circumstances?
Candidates who have filled their IIT JAM online application form with their choice of exam centres were only able to make changes in their choice till 10th November 2018.
While filling up the application form, the student has to fill three cities based on his priority. The JAM 2019 Organizing Committee reserves the right to add a new city or remove an existing one and allot a city that may not be any one of the choices stated by the candidate. Refer to the below points for the key information about changing IIT JAM Exam Centre.
You can’t change an exam centre within a same city/or town you opted earlier.
You have to write a request application to the IIT JAM 2019 Organizing Institute – IIT Kharagpur with a valid reason to change the exam centre. Along with this request application, you have to send a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- drawn in favor of “JAM 2019”, on any Nationalized Bank, payable at Kharagpur.

Some General Instructions for the IIT JAM Exam
Exam will be held in two sessions –
For Physics (PH), Mathematics (MH) and Biological Science (BL) subjects JAM exam will be held in session -1.
Exam Timing for IIT JAM: – 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
In session -2, Exam will be organized for Chemistry (CY), Biotechnology (BT), Geology (GG) and Mathematical Statistics (MS) subjects.
JAM Exam Timing: – 2:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
Candidates must report at the JAM Exam Centre before 35 minutes of the exam.
Candidates should carry the original photo ID Proof along with the JAM Admit Card, without these candidates will not be allowed in the examination centre.
Mobile Phones, Calculator or any other Electronic Devices are not allowed in the JAM Exam Centre.
Candidates need not carry their own rough sheet in the exam hall. Scribble Pads are provided to the candidates for the rough work. The applicants have to write their registration number and name on the pads.
