IIT JAM 2021 Exam is expected to be conducted by IIT Guwahati in February 2021.
The registration process for JAM Exam will be started from first week of September 2020.
JAM exam is conducted through the eight IITs & IISc zones on the rotational basis. Candidates are required to follow some basic guidelines to select the IIT JAM Exam Centre.

Candidates have three choices to select the Exam Cities for JAM at the time of application form submission. Then the council allots the IIT JAM Exam Centre according to candidate’s preferences for cities.
When you choose the first city, the zone gets determined and you have to choose 2 other cities from that zone only.
The exam city has one or more exam centres of IIT JAM Exam.
Once the centre is allotted, the request to change the city or town will be accepted only for exceptional circumstances.

While filling up the application form, the students have to fill three cities based on their priority. The JAM 2021 Organizing Committee reserves the right to add a new city or remove an existing one and allot a city that may not be any one of the choices stated by the candidate. You can’t change an exam centre within a same city/or town you opted earlier.
You have to send a request throug JOAPS portal along with Online Payment of INR 500 .
The final decision to change the exam centre will be taken by the organizing institute only.
Exam will be held in two sessions –
For Physics (PH), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Biotechnology (BT) subjects JAM exam will be held in session -1.
Exam Timing for IIT JAM: - 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
In session -2, Exam will be organized for Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematics (MA) subjects.
JAM Exam Timing: - 2:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
Candidates must report at the JAM Exam Centre before 35 minutes of the exam.
Candidates should carry the original photo ID Proof along with the JAM Admit Card, without these candidates will not be allowed in the examination centre.
Mobile Phones, Calculators or any other Electronic Devices are not allowed in the JAM Exam Centre.
Candidates need not carry their own rough sheet in the exam hall. Scribble Pads are provided to the candidates for the rough work. The applicants have to write their registration number and name on the pads.
