Aspiring for JAM 2020 Exam?
Here comes the good news for the candidates who are waiting for the exam notification. IIT JAM 2020 Exam will be conducted on 9th February 2020.
The registration process for IIT JAM 2020 has been started from 04th September 2019.
JAM exam is conducted through the eight IITs & IISc zones on the rotational basis. Candidates are required to follow some basic guidelines to select the IIT JAM Exam Centre.
Important Note - As per the official update of IIT Kanpur, the Ghaziabad city has been transferred from IIT Delhi Zone to IIT Roorkee Zone due to operational reasons.
Candidates have three choices to select the Exam Cities for JAM at the time of application form submission. Then the council allots the IIT JAM Exam Centre according to candidate’s preferences for cities.
When you choose the first city, the zone gets determined and you have to choose 2 other cities from that zone only.
The exam city has one or more exam centres of IIT JAM Exam.

While filling up the application form, the student has to fill three cities based on his priority. The JAM 2020 Organizing Committee reserves the right to add a new city or remove an existing one and allot a city that may not be any one of the choices stated by the candidate. Refer to the below points for the key information about changing IIT JAM Exam Centre.
You can’t change an exam centre within a same city/or town you opted earlier.
You have to write a request application to the IIT JAM 2020 Organizing Institute with a valid reason to change the exam centre. Along with this request application, you have to send a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- drawn in favor of “JAM 2020”, on any Nationalized Bank.

Exam will be held in two sessions –
For Physics (PH), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Biotechnology (BT) subjects JAM exam will be held in session -1.
Exam Timing for IIT JAM: - 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
In session -2, Exam will be organized for Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematics (MA) subjects.
JAM Exam Timing: - 2:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
Candidates must report at the JAM Exam Centre before 35 minutes of the exam.
Candidates should carry the original photo ID Proof along with the JAM Admit Card, without these candidates will not be allowed in the examination centre.
Mobile Phones, Calculator or any other Electronic Devices are not allowed in the JAM Exam Centre.
Candidates need not carry their own rough sheet in the exam hall. Scribble Pads are provided to the candidates for the rough work. The applicants have to write their registration number and name on the pads.
