Aspiring for JAM 2018 Exam?
Here comes the good news for the candidates who are waiting for the IIT JAM 2018 Notification. IIT JAM 2018 Exam has been scheduled to be held on 11th February 2018.
The Online Application Process has been started from 5th September 2017. So, candidates who wish to appear for JAM 2018 Exam can fill the Online Application form till 10th October 2017.
JAM exam is conducted through the eight IITs & IISc zones on the rotational basis. Candidates have three choices to select the Exam Cities for JAM at the time of application form submission. Then the council allots the IIT JAM Exam Centre according to candidate’s preferences for cities.
IIT JAM 2018 Exam Centres – Important Points to keep in Mind!
At the time of application procedure, candidates need to specify three cities for JAM 2018.
When you choose the first city, the zone gets determined and you have to choose 2 other cities from that zone only.
The exam city has one or more exam centres of IIT JAM 2018.
Once the centre is allotted, the request to change the city or town will not be accepted in any circumstances.
But in exceptional cases, the change in exam centre might be permitted only if your request with a valid reason is received by the Organising institutes’s chairman along with the demand draft of 500 Rupees in favour of “Chairman of IIT Bombay” to the following address.

Some General Instructions for the IIT JAM Exam -
Exam will be held in two sessions –
For Physics (PH), Mathematics (MH) and Biological Science (BL) subjects JAM exam will be held in session -1.
Exam Timing for IIT JAM: – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In session -2, Exam will be organized for Chemistry (CY), Biotechnology (BT), Geology (GG) and Mathematical Statistics (MS) subjects.
JAM Exam Timing: – 2 P.M. to 5 P.M.
Candidates must report at the JAM Exam Centre before 35 minutes of the exam.
After 9.30 A.M. and 2.30 P.M., no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall.
Candidates should carry the original photo ID Proof along with the JAM Admit Card, without these candidates will not be allowed in the examination centre.
Mobile Phones, Calculator or any other Electronic Devices are not allowed in the JAM Exam Centre.
Candidates need not carry their own rough sheet in the exam hall. Scribble Pads are provided to the candidates for the rough work. The applicants have to write their registration number and name on the pads.
