Ans: We all know that NITs are the second most preferred institutes for JAM qualified students after IITs. The JAM qualified candidates who fail to achieve the JAM Cutoff Marks for IITs & IISc Admission, can take admission into NITs through CCMN Counselling.

Ques: What are the special provisions available for PwD candidates in JAM Examination?
Ans: Pwd benefits are given to only those who have at least 40% permanent physical impairment (Viz., hearing impairment, low vision or blindness, locomotor disability etc).
To avail the relaxation under the PwD category, the candidates must upload a recently obtained valid PwD certificate issued by competent authority.
Ques: Do OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates need to upload OBC-NCL certificate?
Ans: No, OBC non-creamy layer aspirants, don't need to upload their OBC-NCL certificate at the time of applying for M.Sc IIT Exam. The information of category is required at this stage only to claim the concessional rate for the online registration fees for JAM Exam.
Rank list will be prepared according to the category mentioned by the candidates in the registration form. After the result declaration, candidates need to submit the certificate in the prescribed format along with required documents for admission. The final seat allocation will be based on the caste certificate submitted by candidates.

And an aggregate score of at least 55% marks in the BSc Nursing for General/ OBC category and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD categories is a required educational qualification.
