JEE Advanced 2018 Pattern for Paper 1 and 2:  Vital Things You Must Know

 

 

The JEE Advanced Pattern 2018 might have some changes. We will update you if there any notification released by the official websites. Kindly stay tuned with Eduncle.

 

In JEE Advanced 2017 exam, there were total 54 questions each in both Paper 1 and 2, consisting of total 183 marks for each. Whereas in JEE Advanced 2016 Exam, the number of questions were same but the total marks for each section were 186. Check below the highlights of JEE Advanced Pattern.

JEE Advanced 2018 Pattern for Paper 1

 

 

The JEE Advanced Paper pattern for paper 1 consists of 3 sections- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. As, mentioned above, JEE Advanced pattern 2018 might include some changes. The JEE Advanced Marking Scheme for paper 1 is as follows:

 

 Full Marks: 4 marks will be awarded, (If only the bubbles corresponding to options is (are) darkened.

 

  Partial Marks: 1 mark will be given to candidate as partial mark for darkening a bubble corresponding to each correct option provided no incorrect option is darkened.

 

  Negative Marks: The negative marking depends upon the section. For section 1 and 3, 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer and for Section 2, 2 marks will be deducted.

 

 The IIT JEE Advanced 2018 will have 3 sections- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.

 

 The question papers will contain MCQ type and Numerical Answer type questions.

 

 The language of question paper will be English and Hindi both. The candidates need to mention Question Paper language at the time of JEE Advanced 2018 Online Form Application.

 

 

 

JEE Advanced 2018 Pattern for Paper 2

 

 

The JEE Advanced 2018 Pattern for Paper 2 will be officially declared by the constituting IIT, which is not decided yet.  We will update you when official notification will be released.  Check below the JEE Advanced Pattern 2018 for Paper 2.

 The JEE Advanced Marking Scheme for paper 1 is mentioned below:

 

 Full Marks: 3 marks will be awarded for the correct answer in Section 1 and 3, and for section 2, 4 marks will be awarded (If only the bubbles corresponding to all the correct option(s) is(are) darkened).

 

  Partial Marks: 1 mark will be given as partial marks (For darkening a bubble corresponding to each correct option provided no incorrect options is darkened).

 

  Negative Marks: For section 1 and 2, there will be negative marking of 1 and 2 marks respectively for the incorrect answer.

 

 For section 3, there is no negative marking.
