JEE Advanced Result 2018 – Must Know Things!



The result of JEE Advanced will be announced by IITs. A minimum cut off will be released on the official website. Aspirants who clear the cut off marks will be given a rank based on their scores. Aspirants need their roll number and date of birth to get the result of JEE Advanced.

 Step 1: Visit the official website for IIT JEE Advanced Result 2017.


 Step 2: Click on Result of JEE (ADV) 2017.


 Step 3: Now, Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.


 Step 4: Hit the Submit button.


 Step 5: Applicants will be directed to another tab where the rank will be made available along with their JEE Advanced score.


 Step 6: Applicants must download the IIT JEE Advanced 2017 Result and take a print out for the same.



Note:  JEE Advanced Answer Keys are released earlier through which applicants can get a fair idea about their scores. The Declaration of the JEE Advanced Result 2018 will ascertain the candidate’s score.

The marks obtained by a candidate in mathematics in JEE Advanced 2017 are equal to the marks scored in mathematics part of paper 1 and paper 2. Marks obtained in Physics and Chemistry will be calculated in the same way.


The aggregate marks obtained by applicants in JEE Advanced 2017 is the sum of the marks awarded them in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE Advanced Cut Off 2017 for PWD Category



PWD stands for the person with disability. Candidates who secure marks less than JEE Advanced 2017 Cut off were not allowed to take part in the counseling process. PWD candidates cannot take the admission in the courses like mining, geophysics, mechanical etc. even if they secure more than cut off marks in JEE Advanced.

Revised JEE Advanced 2017 Cut Off Marks



Applicants must know that Cut off of JEE Advanced 2017 is announced twice. At first, IIT Council announces the cutoff marks and thereafter that JEE Advanced cutoff is revised. Generally, the revised cutoff is slightly lower than the initial cutoff. Following are the factors for the revised cutoff:
