Dual Reporting- Important Point to Consider
In JEE Advanced counselling this is one of the most important but confusing topics for both the candidate and the parents.
This reporting is done by those students who want to switch their institutions. In this process, candidate should report twice for JoSAA Seat Allocation procedure. The candidates who want to switch their institution from NIT/IIITs to IITs/ISM or vice versa should go through this process.
The candidate who has been allotted a seat in NIT but is looking for a confirm seat in IIT or ISM need to report at the IIT/ISM reporting center. The same goes for the reverse situation, the candidate must report at the NIT’s reporting center if he has been allotted a seat in IIT.
In case the candidate fails to do so he/she may end up losing seat from both NIT and IIT/ISM.
