RRB NTPC Syllabus 2017 Exam-List of Important Topics for Various NTPC Stages

 

 

The RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) is a well-known exam for various non-technical posts in Railways. The exam is conducted by 21 RRBs in various regions. The following 9 job profiles fall under this exam:

 

1. Assistant Station Master (ASM)

2. Commercial Apprentice (CA)

3. Traffic Apprentice (TA)

4. Senior Clerk Cum Typist

5. Traffic Assistant

6. Enquiry Cum Reservation Clerk (ECRA)

7. Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist (JAA)

8. Senior Time Keeper

9. Goods Guard

 

The selection procedure includes the following stages of the exam:

 

RRB NTPC Prelims or Stage 1 Exam

 RRB NTPC Mains or Stage 2 Exam

 RRB NTPC Stage 3/ Aptitude or skill test

The RRB NTPC Syllabus for Stage 1 and Stage 2 exam is almost same for all the four subjects. The exam pattern also contains the same subjects in both the stages.

 

RRB NTPC Stage-1 exam is held for all the posts but the Stage-2 exam is not conducted for those who have applied for the posts of CA, TA, ECRC & Goods Guard. A merit list is released for them based on their performance in the 1st Stage examination.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern-Know Paper Pattern for Various NTPC Stages

 

 

The exam for both the stages i.e. RRB NTPC Prelims and Mains is objective type and will be conducted only in online mode.The details of Exam pattern are available for you below in the blog.

 

 

RRB NTPC Prelims Exam Pattern

 

The RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for all the 9 posts i.e. TC, TA, CA, ECRC, JAA, Senior Time Keeper, Station Master, Senior Clerk and Goods Guard is as follows:

  The time given for the Stage-1 examination is of 90 minutes or 1.5 hours.

  RRB NTPC Stage-1 will be a Computer Based Test that means it will be conducted online.

  There number of questions will be 100.

  For each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded and for the incorrect answer, 1/3rd marks will be deducted.

 

Candidates can check their RRB NTPC Result for the Stage-1 to start the preparations for the next stage i.e. RRB NTPC Stage 2 Exam.

 

 

 

RRB NTPC Mains Exam pattern

 

RRB NTPC Mains Exam is conducted for those candidates who qualify the Stage-1 exam and only for the 5 posts namely ASM, TC, Senior Time Keeper, Senior Clerk and JAA.

 

Detailed exam pattern for the Stage-2 exam is provided in the table for your help and preparation:

RRB NTPC Stage-3 Exam or Aptitude Test pattern

 

RRB NTPC Stage-3 Pattern and syllabus is helpful for the candidates who have applied for the positions of ASM and TA.

If you are one of those who gets selected for the Senior Clerk, JAA, Senior Time Keeper, then you must appear for the typing test.

 

The typing test for the above-mentioned posts requires that the candidate typing speed should be at least 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Hindi.

    can i get the rrb notifications and relates tips continuously. is it compulsory to go to coaching institute for get success in rrb? now i am studying civil engg,final year.how many months are required to complete this syllabus? is there will be any questions from other techniques like eee,ece&mechanical?

      As the JE | SSE Syllabus question paper has questions from all the other Engineering Electives (Electrical, Electronics, Computers, Instrumentation & Measurement; so you need to cover the syllabus topics from them.

      Railway Recruitment Board every year releases a large number of vacancies in various fields and a graduate in any discipline can apply for jobs in railways provided that they fulfill the minimum specified percentage of 50% at the graduation level.
       
      Since, you are a graduate in Commerce, then you can apply for the positions such as accountant, divisional accountant, clerk, sectional officer, assistant manager, stenographer etc in different departments in railways as per the available vacancies.

      Yes, you can apply for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot post, as the qualification required to apply for RRB ALP Exam is:

      1. The candidate needs to complete the ITI (approved by NCVT/SCVT) in any specific trade to apply for this post.

      2. Candidates who have completed diploma in engineering are also eligible and should have completed minimum 10th standard from recognized board.
      As you have completed your B.tech, you are definitely eligible for RRB ALP Exam.
