SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern – Grab Details!


SBI PO Prelims exam is organized in online mode. Candidates appearing for the SBI PO Recruitment Exam will be assigned a desktop where all the instructions and rules to be followed by them will be shown first. After that, question will appear on the screen that needs to be answered one by one.

There are three sections in SBI PO Prelims exam i.e. English Language, Quantitative Ability and Reasoning Ability.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern – Explore the details!


Candidates who get the required marks and qualify the cut off will proceed to the recruitment process's second stage.

As per the SBI PO Mains Pattern, it is subdivided into two levels i.e. Objective Test and Descriptive Test.


Highlights of SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2019


The examination will be organized in online mode.

SBI, has stipulated a time to attempt each segment of the Mains exam.

Following the conclusion of SBI PO Mains, SBI is preparing a Merit List.

Candidates with a higher score will obviously also be given priority for the GD and Interview Round.

SBI PO Mains Level – 1: Objective Test


As per SBI PO Mains Pattern 2019, there are four sections in SBI PO Mains exam i.e. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness and English Language.

SBI PO Mains Level – 2: Descriptive Test


The Descriptive Test will be conducted in 30 minutes duration. This exam is organized to evaluate candidates’ Letter Writing & Essay Writing abilities.

According to the SBI PO Mains Pattern, there are total 2 questions in descriptive test each of 25 marks.

Note: Candidates’ descriptive test will only be checked if they qualify in the Objective Test, as determined by the Bank's qualification marks.



SBI PO Group Exercise & Interview: Explore Phase - 3 details!


Aspirants who qualify both phases i.e. prelims and mains become eligible for the round 3 i.e. GD & Interview.

The aggregate marks will be arranged in descending order in each category for all qualified applicants. Then a certain number of aspirants decided by the Bank in each category will be called for group exercises and interview.

The marks are decided for the Group Exercise round are 20 and for the Interview are 30.

Final Selection Process for SBI PO Exam


The exam authority keeps the following points in mind while calculating the final score of SBI PO exam.

For selection, marks secured in the SBI PO prelims exam (Phase-1) will not be regarded for the final merit list, candidates need to qualify Phase 2 and Phase 3 separately to become eligible.

The aggregate marks out of these 100 marks is used to make the category wise final merit list. Candidates with top rank of merit are finally selected for recruitment in various branches of State Bank of India all over India.
