After the strict rules of checking followed in various Examination, IITs released a list of prohibited items in JEE Advanced 2020 Exam as well. This is done to reduce the malpractices that were noticed during the examination in the past years.

As stated above, the JEE Advanced Exam will be organized on 17th May 2020. Regarding the dress code and the restricted materials in exam center, IITs have announced a set of new rules for the appearing candidates.
The candidates will go through a metal detector check, if anyone is found disobeying or breaking the rules, their candidature can be canceled and they might be banned from appearing in the upcoming JEE Advanced Exam.
JEE Advanced 2020 List of Prohibited Items at the Exam Center
There are so many items that we usually can carry to an exam hall are not allowed in JEE Advanced Exam. Looking at the previous years’ list, the analog watch has been removed from the list of banned items. Now, the candidates can bring them along in the exam hall. In the below table, the list of items prohibited in exam hall is provided.

JEE Advanced 2020 List of Allowed Items in Exam Hall
IITs have released a list of IIT JEE 2020 prohibited items but to appear in the examination candidate must take along the items allowed for the exam, which are mentioned below.
Candidate needs to carry his/her JEE Advanced Admit Card 2020.
Original photo identity card like Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, etc.
Black ballpoint pen with the transparent body will only be allowed in the exam hall.
Small erasers and wooden pencils can be taken in the exam hall.
For time management, candidates are now free to take a simple analog watch but digital and smartwatches are still restricted in the examination hall.
Note:
For Indian Centers: According to the latest notification, All the partially registered candidates will need to submit a demand draft of INR 3100 for General, OBC-NCL and INR 1800 for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Female candidates at the examination center on the day of examination.
For Foreign Centers: A demand draft/ cheque of USD 210 from SAARC candidates and demand draft/ cheque of USD 350 from non- SAARC candidates will need to submit at the allotted examination center on the exam day.
The drafts/banker’s cheques should be in favour of "Organizing Chairman JEE (Advanced)" that will be payable at Kanpur.
This notice is NOT for the candidates who completed their complete registration, including payment of fees, before the deadline.

A fixed dress code has been set in JEE Advanced Exam due to an increased number of unfair means used by the candidates to crack the exam
Candidates need to follow the dress code strictly so that they could remain stress-free at the time of examination.
JEE Advanced 2020 Dress Code for Female Candidates
Dress code rules for female candidates are listed below. Dress code includes prohibited items as well as allowed items in the examination.
Simple half sleeve kurtas or tops can be worn.
Clothes having big buttons, broaches, badges, unpleasant colors are not allowed.
Do not wear any expensive jewelry items like nose pins, earrings, chains, bracelets, etc. as no one will be responsible if they are misplaced or lost.
Tie your hair with simple hair elastic, no fancy hairpins, clips will be considered in the examination hall.
Fancy and digital watches are not allowed in the examination.
You can wear a simple analog watch if you want.
No veil/dupattas and other long draped dresses are allowed at the time of examination.
Open sandals or slippers should be worn so that they can be taken off easily if the candidate is asked to do so by center’s staff members.
Religious headwear is allowed but wearing burka to the exam hall is not allowed. You can cover your head but face and neck should be visible.

JEE Advanced 2020 Dress Code for Male Candidates:
Simple half-sleeved shirt and t-shirts are allowed.
No digital watches will be allowed but simple analog watch can be worn.
You can wear trousers and lowers. It will be better if they do not have any pockets.
You can wear plain slippers and open sandals. Do not wear shoes while appearing for the exam.
Religious headwear is allowed in the exam hall.
Any kind of sunglasses or goggles will not be considered. Spectacles prescribed by the doctor are only permitted.
No belts will be allowed.
Wear well-fitted trousers or pants.
