Major Factors in JEE Main 2020 Result Evaluation?

NTA has decided to use the percentile scores to determine the JEE Mains 2020 Merit List rather than the raw marks.

The step of using percentile scores is taken to normalize the marks of different sessions and maintain the level of difficulty across the different sittings. Check out the official notice regarding Normalization Procedure based on Percentile Score here.

The percentile score of the candidates have been calculated using the following formula:

100 X Number of candidates appeared in the ‘Session’ with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate

Total number of the candidates appeared in the ’Session'

There is no weightage of class 12 marks in JEE Main rank list 2020 calculation.

Candidates need to secure at least 75% marks in general category and 65% marks in SC/ST in class 12th exam to get admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs based on the JEE Main/Advanced.

The candidates must be in the top 20 Percentile in their respective class 12 Boards.
