To appear in JEE Advanced 2018, the candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in JEE Mains Exam. The JEE Mains Rank List 2018 displays the eligibility condition of candidates who will qualify for JEE Advanced 2018.

Key Points of JEE Main 2018 Rank Card / Rank List

Based on the Mains Rank List 2018, the candidates will be selected for the admission to various B.E./ B. Tech programmes which are offered by 31 NITs, 20 IITs and 18 GFTIs.
The JEE Mains 2018 Rank List of Paper 1 will be published along with the declaration of JEE Mains 2018 Result.
While calculating JEE Main Rank 2018, no weightage is given to the class 12th marks, which was considered up to last years.
Candidates must secure at least 75% marks in or be in top 20 percentile in the class 12th exam conducted by the respective board to get admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs. Etc.
Preparation Procedure of JEE Mains Rank List 2018
JEE Mains 2018 Rank List is prepared in the following manner.
A total of eight JEE Mains Rank List each for paper 1 and Paper 2 is prepared based on the performance of candidates in the respective exams.

JEE Mains Rank List 2018 for Admission to B.E./ B.Tech- Tie Breaking Method
The Officials have declared some rules for admissions in institutions other than IITs. These are mentioned below:
The candidate who secures higher marks in Mathematics and Physics will be given better rank.
The ratio of the positive and negative marks secured by candidates in JEE Mains 2017 will be considered.
JEE Mains Rank List for Admission to B.Arch. / B Planning
The following criteria have been set for the Paper 2 of the JEE Mains 2018.
Candidates having better marks in Aptitude Test will be given higher rank.
If the tie doesn’t break, then the candidates obtaining higher marks in Drawing will be given better rank.
The ratio of the positive and negative marks secured by candidates in JEE Mains Paper 2, will be considered.
If still there is a tie, then similar ranks will be allotted to the candidates.
