As per the Supreme Court, all the seats in the Medical Colleges (MBBS) or Dental College (BDS) filled by the CBSE NEET Exam only. No other exam will be conducted for offering admissions to the MBBS/BDS Courses in India 2016 onwards.

NEET Exam Pattern 2018 – What is the Mode of the Examination?



By knowing the details of the NEET 2018 Exam Pattern, the candidates will be able to make comprehensive preparations for the medical and dental entrance examination. The test will be based on core subjects studied in Class 11th and 12th. Go through the overview of NEET UG Exam Pattern below.


  As per the NEET 2018 Pattern, exam is conducted in Pen and Paper Mode, i.e. Offline.


  Aspirants are provided with the OMR Sheets in which they fill their answers by using the ball point pen.


  Candidates are not allowed to bring their own stationery at the NEET Exam Center.


  The stationary and all the other required material will be provided to candidates inside the examination hall only.

Candidates preparing for the exam are aware how important is to cross the hurdle and crack the exam. We have curated a list of things that you want to know about NEET 2018 Pattern.


  NEET 2018 Question Paper Booklet consists of total 180 questions.


  The Question Paper will have objective type questions which means each question has four options, wherein, candidates need to choose the correct answer from the given options.


  NEET Chemistry and Physics consist of 45 questions each and Biology comprise of 90 questions.


  NEET Biology section is further divided into Botany and Zoology.

  Question Paper carries 720 marks, and the Candidates who cross the Cut-Off Marks of NEET Exam are eligible to appear for counselling process for the best colleges across India.


  To avoid cheating, the CBSE issues 4 sets. Number and questions in all the 4 sets are same but these are asked in different order.



What is the NEET Marking Scheme in 2018?

NEET 2018 Pattern for Language-Based Papers



 Question Paper will be conducted in Hindi, English and eight vernacular languages.


 The vernacular languages are Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.


 Aspirants are required to opt/choose their preferred language while filling NEET 2018 Application Form.


 Remember that once you filled the registration form and submitted, the language of the paper cannot be changed.


 Candidates who choose the English language will get the Question Paper booklet in English only.


 Those candidates who choose the Hindi language will get a bilingual booklet in English and Hindi.


 Candidates choosing any vernacular language will also get bilingual question booklet in that language and English.


 In case of any ambiguity or misprint in translation of English language, Question written in the English language will be treated as final.
