Candidates who are aspiring to appear for the SSC CGL 2019, should know all the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria related to educational qualifications, age limits,  and physical standards.

 

SSC CGL Eligibility regarding the physical standards should be considered by only those candidates, who are applying for the post of Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/ Preventive Officer), Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN, Sub-Inspector in CBI, Sub-Inspector in NIA.

 

Staff Selection Commission has made some important changes to the eligibility criteria of SSC CGL aspirants as per the latest notification releases regarding SSC CGL 2019 Examination.

SSC CGL Qualification Details 2019

 

The basic and compulsory education qualification required under SSC CGL Eligibility is holding a Bachelor’s Degree / Graduation or any equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

 

SSC CGL Education qualification for various posts are explained as follows: -

 

Name of the Post

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable - Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level.

OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Statistical Investigator Gade-II Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.

All Other Posts

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

 

The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however, they must possess Essential qualification on or before 01st January 2020.

For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in M/o Mines, Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification.

 

“The degree obtained from distance education or open universities are acceptable under the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria, but the University should have recognition from Distance Education Council, IGNOU.”

 

 

SSC CGL Age Limit 2019

 

As per the latest SSC CGL 2019 notification from Staff Selection Commission, the age limit for CGLE 2019 will be calculated as on 1st January 2020.

 

SSC CGL Age Limit for 2019 is calculated as below:

He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.2000

For Post for which age limit is up to 30 years

He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.2002

For Post for which age limit is up to 32 years

He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1988 and not later than 01.01.2002

 

Note: - Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission.

 

The age limit under the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria is different for different posts. There is a provision of different pay scales for different posts after clearing SSC CGL.

 

As per SSC CGL 2019 Notification, the commission has changed the age limit criteria for the various post. The posts and their changes age limit can be understood as follows:

SSC CGL Age Relaxation to Various Categories

 

According to the SSC CGL age limit criteria, some age relaxations are given for various categories. The age relaxation for different categories are as follows:

Note: - SSC has removed the age relaxation for Group “B” posts Central Govt. Civilian Employees and  Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular & continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application.

 

 

SSC CGL Physical Standards 2019: Prescribed Height, Weight and Vision

 

SSC has a prescribed physical standard eligibility for the following posts: Sub Inspector NIA, Inspector in Central Excise, Examiner, Preventive Officer and /Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN.

 

Candidates who fulfill the specified physical measurements will be eligible for the respective posts. You can check the complete criteria below:

 

Note: As per the latest notification, PwD (Person with Disabilities) candidates are not eligibile for the post of Assistant Section Officer in Intelligence Bureau.

For all the posts offered through SSC CGL exam, it is strictly mandatory to clear your Graduation Degree.     Sir mai ek railway employee huin aur mai ssc chsl 2015 ka final pass ho gaya huin . verification ke time noc manga gaya tha lekin notice me central government civilian employee age relaxation ke liye jinka kam se kam 3 years service ho gaya hai uske liye manga gaya tha lekin form filup ke time mera service 5 month hua tha aur mujhe age relaxation bhi nahi jaruri tha to kya mujhe joining ke time noc aur tecnical resignation de sakte hain ya aur koi process batayen.....please...
