SSC CGL Qualification Details 2022

 

The basic and compulsory education qualification required under SSC CGL Eligibility is holding a Bachelor’s Degree / Graduation or any equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

SSC CGL Education qualification for various posts are explained as follows: -

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable - Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level.

OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Statistical Investigator Gade-II

Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.

All Other Posts

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

 

The aspirants appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply.

For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in M/o Mines, Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification

 

“The degree obtained from distance education or open universities are acceptable under the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria, but the University should have recognition from Distance Education Council, IGNOU.”

SSC CGL Age Limit

 

As per the latest SSC CGL Notification from Staff Selection Commission, the age limit for CGL 2022 will be calculated as on 1st January 2022.

SSC CGL Age Limit for 2022 is calculated as below:

Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004

For the posts for which age limit is 20-30 years

Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2002

For the posts for which age limit is 18-30 years

Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2004.

For the post for which age limit is 18-32 years

Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-2004.

 

Note: - Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission.

The age limit under the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria is different for different posts. There is a provision of different pay scales for different posts after clearing SSC CGL.

As per SSC CGL Notification, the commission has changed the age limit criteria for the various post. The posts and their changes age limit can be understood as follows:

SSC CGL Physical Standards 2022: Prescribed Height, Weight, and Vision

 

SSC has a prescribed physical standard eligibility for the following posts: Sub Inspector NIA, Inspector in Central Excise, Examiner, Preventive Officer, and /Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN.

Candidates who fulfill the specified physical measurements will be eligible for the respective posts. You can check the complete criteria below:

Note: As per the latest notification, PwD (Person with Disabilities) you are not eligible for the post of Assistant Section Officer in Intelligence Bureau.
