SSC CGL Qualification Details 2019

 

The basic and compulsory education qualification required under SSC CGL Eligibility is holding a Bachelor’s Degree / Graduation or any equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

 

SSC CGL Education qualification for various posts are explained as follows: -

 

Name of the Post Education Qualification

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable - Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level.

OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

All Other Posts

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

 

The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however, they must possess Essential qualification on or before 01st August 2019.

For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in M/o Mines, Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification.

 

“The degree obtained from distance education or open universities are acceptable under the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria, but the University should have recognition from Distance Education Council, IGNOU.”

 

 

 

 

SSC CGL Age Limit 2019

 

As per the latest SSC CGL 2019 notification from Staff Selection Commission, the age limit for CGLE 2019 will be calculated as on 1st August 2018.

 

SSC CGL Age Limit for 2019 is calculated as below:

For Post for which age limit is 20-27 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1991 and not later than 01.08.1998
For Post for which age limit is 18-27 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1991 and not later than 01.08.2000
For Post for which age limit is 20-30 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1988 and not later than 01.08.1998

For Post for which age limit is up to 30 years

He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1988 and not later than 01.08.2000
For Post for which age limit is up to 32 years He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1986 and not later than 01.08.2000

 

Note: - Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission.

 

The age limit under the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria is different for different posts. There is a provision of different pay scales for different posts after clearing SSC CGL.

 

As per SSC CGL 2019 Notification, the commission has changed the age limit criteria for the various post. The posts and their changes age limit can be understood as follows:

SSC CGL Age Relaxation to Various Categories

 

According to the SSC CGL age limit criteria, some age relaxations are given for various categories. The age relaxation for different categories are as follows: -

08 Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application Up to 45 years of age
09 Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 5 years
10 Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried Up to 35 years of age
11 Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried (SC/ ST) Up to 40 years of age
12 Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof 3 years
13 Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (SC/ ST) 8 years
14 Service Clerks in the last year of their colour service in the Armed Forces Up to 45 years of age
15 Service Clerks in the last year of their colour service in the Armed Forces (SC/ ST) Up to 50 years of age
16 Retrenched census employees of the Office of Registrar General of India (They will be considered only for offices under RGI in their order of merit and subject to availability of vacancies) 3 years plus length of service rendered by them in connection with census, before retrenchment, and weightage of past service.

Note: - SSC has removed the age relaxation for Group “B” posts Central Govt. Civilian Employees and  Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC/ ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular & continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application.

 

 

 

 

SSC CGL Physical Standards 2019: Prescribed Height, Weight and Vision

 

SSC has a prescribed physical standard eligibility for the following posts: Sub Inspector NIA, Inspector in Central Excise, Examiner, Preventive Officer and /Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN.

 

Candidates who fulfill the specified physical measurements will be eligible for the respective posts. You can check the complete criteria below:

 

Note: As per the latest notification, PwD (Person with Disabilities) candidates are not eligibile for the post of Assistant Section Officer in Intelligence Bureau.

Height 157.5 cm 152 cm
Weight - 48 Kgs.
Chest 81 cm (fully expanded with a minimum expanse of 5 cm) No requirements
Height Relaxable 5 cm in the case of Garhwali’s, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Scheduled Tribes. 2.5 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwali’s, Assamese, and Members of Scheduled Tribes.
Weight Relaxable - 2 Kgs for Gorkhas, Garhwali’s, Assamese, and Members of Scheduled Tribes.
Walking 1600 meters in 15 minutes. 1 Km. in 20 minutes.
Cycling 8 Km In 30 minutes 3 Kms. in 25 minutes

 

 

Physical Standards for Sub-Inspector in CBI

 

 Criteria For Male Candidates For Female Candidates
Height 165 cm 150 cm
Chest 76 cm with expansion No requirements
Height Relaxable 5 cm in the case of Garhwali’s, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Scheduled Tribes. 2.5 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwali’s, Assamese, and Members of Scheduled Tribes.
Vision: Eye-sight (with or without glasses) Distant Vision - 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.
Near Vision – 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in the other eye.

    SSC has recently conducted the SSC CGL 2018 Exam on the 2019 year. So, the eligibility will be calculated as on 1st August 2018. As per the official notification, The CGL 2019 Application form will be released from 31st October 2019. Then the eligibility of 2019 will be as on 1st August 2019.

    If you belong to General or OBC category then your age should not be exceeding 35 years but if you belong to SC/ST category then your age should not be exceeding 40 years.
