Reservation Criteria for SSC CGL Vacancies
In SSC Exam, vacancies are reserved for some candidates belonging to special categories as per the government’s order. These categories are given below:
1. Scheduled castes (SC)
2. Scheduled Tribes (ST)
3. Other Backward Classes (OBC)
4. Servicemen (EXS)
5. Physically Handicapped (PH)
For Ex. Servicemen candidates, vacancies are reserved only for Group “C” post and not for Group “B” post.
Reservation for Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST), Other Backward Classes(OBC) Ex-Serviceman(EXS) and Physically Handicapped(PH) candidates for all categories of posts/services, wherever applicable and admissible, would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Cadres, as per extant Government Orders.
To take advantage of the above-mentioned reservation criteria, the respective candidates must possess the valid caste certificate.
How Many Vacancies in SSC CGL 2017 are Removed and Why?
A latest notice regarding SSC CGL jobs list says that some of the vacancies are removed from the SSC CGL 2017 recruitment process when SSC officially released the new notice of SSC CGL vacancies 2017. SSC CGL Vacancies are removed for the postcode H, >, I, and S.

When Will the Official Number of Vacancies in SSC CGL 2017 be Declared?
One of the most important factors that decides the number of vacancies in SSC CGL 2017 will be the number of vacant seats in the various departments and ministries.
