What is SSC Recruitment Exam? Full Form of SSC Exam


The full form of SSC is Staff Selection Commission. It is an organization which recruits the staffs for various posts in different ministries and departments, by the Government of India. This Commission was introduced on 4th November 1975, and back then it was called “Subordinate Services Commission”, but later on it was re-designated as Staff Selection Commission on 26th September 1977.

It recruits in various Group B (Technical) and Group C (Non-technical) posts and their subordinate.

Full Form of SSC CGL Exam is Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam.

As the name says, SSC CGL is a graduate level exam which is conducted for the recruitment of various posts such as an inspector, auditor, accountant, Assistant Officer, Sub Inspector, Statistical Officer etc in various ministries, department and organization.





Full Form of SSC CHSL Exam is Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination. This exam is also known as SSC LDC and SSC 10+2 Exam. This is the best opportunity for students who want a government job after passing their 12th class.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 exam can apply for CHSL SSC Online. It includes the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA) and Court Clerk.

Full Form of SSC CPO Exam is Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organization.

SSC CPO Exam is conducted for the recruitment of Sub Inspector (SI)/ Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) posts in various organizations such as BSF, CRPF, CAPF, Delhi Police etc. In this position, Sub Inspector is the lowest ranked as a first investigating officer who can file charge sheet under the Indian Police Rules, but their subordinate can’t file any charge sheet. They can only investigate cases on their behalf.





Full Form of SSC GD Exam is Staff Selection Commission General Duty Constable.

Full Form of SSC MTS Exam is Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff.

It is also known as SSC Matriculation level exam. Every year almost 70 lakh candidates register for SSC MTS Exam. Candidates can get a government job through SSC MTS after 10 class. Some important roles and responsibility are: -

SSC CPO 2019 Tentative Answer Key for Paper 1 has been released. Candidates can check their answers and submit their representation till 6th January 2020.

The SSC JE result 2018 for paper 1 has been released on the official website.

SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam has been successfully conducted on 29th December 2019.

SSC has revised the SSC GD Results on 12th September 2019.

SSC CHSL 2018 Result was declared on 12th September 2019.

SSC has been conducting the SSC GD PET/PST Test on from 13th August and it will be conducted till 25th September 2019.

SSC Registration – How to Register of SSC Website?


As you know, SSC Registration is the first process to fill any application form of Staff Selection commission. Without registration, you can’t fill the SSC Online form.

Every Government Exam needs to fill the registration form every year and then continue the complete process of application, but SSC provides a facility to fill the registration form only once (You don't need to fill the form every year). After that, you can fill any SSC form such as CGL, CHSL, GD, MTS etc with the same details.

So below, we have mentioned the step by step procedure of SSC Registration. You should follow the process to fill the form so that you don't make any mistake.

Step 1 - Go to the SSC Official Website (

Step 2 – You will find the SSC Registration Link on the right side. (New User ? Register Now) Click on it.

Step 3 – Now, fill the required basic details such as Aadhar Number, Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Date of Birth, 10th Class Board Name, Roll Number & Year of Passing, Gender, Level of Educational Qualification, Mobile Number, Email ID.

Step 4 – Check once again the details and click on the save button.

Note: - Your Mobile number and email ID should be correct so that you can receive registration number and password from the Staff Selection Commission.

Step 5 – Now, you will receive the SSC Registration ID and password via mail and SMS. You have to change the password once and then continue the further process.

Step 6 – Fill the Additional and contact details and click on the next button.

Step 7 – Photo and Signature Details: This is the last step of the SSC Registration. You have to submit Scanned colour passport size recent photograph (20 KB to 50 KB) and signature (10 to 20 KB) in JPEG format.

Step 8 – Click on the Submit Button.

Step 9 – Now, SSC will send you OTP on your registered mobile number or email id. Fill the details and finally submit it.

Step 10 – You will receive a confirmation mail from of successful registration. You should save your SSC Registration ID and password for further use.
