Candidates who have a degree or diploma in Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical engineering from a recognized institution or university. or
Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
For the post of JE (civil) in MES Two years’ experience is required in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.
Candidates who have passed Intermediate examination in Buildings and Quantity Surveying Sub-Division-II of the Institute of Surveyors (India) can also apply for SSC JE Exam.

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2022-23
SSC JE Exam pattern 2021-22 includes two papers: - Paper 1 (computer-based examination) and Paper 2 (descriptive paper). The details of both papers are given below: -
SSC JE Paper I Exam Pattern
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
The time duration of Paper 1 is 2 hours (2 hours 40 min. for PwD candidates).
The maximum marks are 200 (one mark for each question).
General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness is compulsory for all the post. But Part A, B & C depend on the post filled by the candidates in the application form.

SSC JE Paper II Exam Pattern
The maximum marks are 300 (one mark for each question).
In Paper II, candidates can bring their own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Tables and Steam Table.
Part A, B & C depend on the post filled by the candidates in the application form. Candidates have to appear only one part after clearing the exam.
There will be no negative marking in the paper II.

Step 1 - Go to the SSC Official Website i.e. ssc.nic.in
Step 2 - Select the admit card section and choose your region.
Step 3 - Now click on the link of SSC JE Admit Card.
Step 4 - Fill the required details like registration ID and Date of Birth (If you forget your Registration ID then fill your name, your father’s name and date of birth) and submit it.
Step 5 - Now, your admit card will be shown in the PDF Format on your screen.
