The Official notification of IBPS Clerk Exam 2018 is yet to be disclosed. Although, IBPS has released the Tentative Exam Calendar of various IBPS exams.


The total number of vacancies will be released somewhere in the month of September 2018. For IBPS Clerk 2017, 7883 vacancies were there. The Mains Examination has been conducted on 21st January 2018 and results for the same is expected to be declared in the month of April 2018.

The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection conducts various IBPS Exams for eligible job seekers to be recruited on the respective positions in the most popular banks of India.


Unlike the IBPS Clerk, recruitment for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees, Specialist Officers and Officer & Office Assistants (Scale I & II) for Regional Rural Banks (RRB’s) is done at regular intervals.


Hall tickets for IBPS Bank Clerk Mains Exam 2017 were released on 09th January 2018. Candidates can download their IBPS Clerk Admit Card & check their exam centre details mentioned in it.Make sure you print the call letters before IBPS Clerk the Last Date of downloading these documents.


IBPS has released the IBPS Clerk VII Main Result on 1st April 2018. Now, candidates can check their result on the official website by entering Registration Number or Roll Number.


Provisional Allotment list is also released by IBPS for Clerk VII which is based on state wise and category wise vacancies 2018-19 and merit-cum-preference. In this result, many candidates have the same score. So, merit list is decided as per the date of birth.

Who can apply for IBPS Clerk Exam?


The candidates who fulfil the requisite eligibility conditions may apply for the exam. Check out your IBPS Clerk Eligibility!


The IBPS Clerk Application form will be released in the month of September 2018. Make sure to take out some printouts of the Online Application form because it will be considered as an important document during the verification process. A candidate must be either –


A Citizen of India or


A Subject of Nepal or


A Subject of Bhutan or


A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or


A Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.



Age Limit


The candidates must age between 20 years to 28 years.

7. Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen 3+ Years (If they belong to ST/SC then it is 8 years)
8. Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) 3 Years



Educational Qualifications


The candidates should have a graduation degree in any discipline from an Indian Government Recognized University.



The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.


Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.


Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.



(Some questions may be put at the time of interview to ascertain the candidate’s familiarity with the Official Language of the State/UT).

The exam is conducted in two phases – Preliminary and Main.

Main Examination


Exam pattern for IBPS Clerk Mains has been changed in 2017. In the updated Exam Pattern, there will be only 4 sections in mains paper.


Time Duration of the IBPS Clerk Mains paper will be 160 minutes & sectional time limit has been introduced in Mains Exam.
