As you all know, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts a Common Written Examination for highly talented and young job seekers for the posts of PO/MT.

IBPS PO Syllabus is a complete guide that covers all the important topics on which the PO question paper will be based.

Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection PO exam is conducted in three rounds, i.e. Preliminary Test, Main Exam, and Interview. Those who qualify for all three phases get placed on the prestigious position of Probationary Officer in various government banking organizations. The Prelims and Mains syllabus are similar except for a few topics.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2021 

 

The IBPS PO Pattern is designed to filter out brilliant students with excellent knowledge of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, and Computers.

Along with gaining expertise in these subjects, you should stay updated with General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

Below are some points that you should remember while preparing for the IBPS PO exam:-

The examination will take place in two phases – Preliminary and Mains.

The exam is conducted online and carries the objective type of questions.

The candidates who qualify for the Prelims exam are shortlisted for the Main Exam.

Except for the English Language, all the tests will be available bilingually, i.e. in English and Hindi.

Notes:

The final scorecard will include only the Main Exam and Interview marks.

For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

 

 

IBPS PO Cut-Off Score 

 

There is a cut-off score that you need to clear to qualify for the Bank PO exam.

Following are the minimum cut off mark you need to score:

Mean – 3/4th of Standard Deviation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD categories

Mean – 1/4th of Standard Deviation for General Category.

There will be a second-level cutoff point on the total marks as per requirement.

You need to obtain a minimum score in each test and a minimum total score to be considered shortlisted for the interview. The cutoffs will be decided depending on the number of vacancies available.

IBPS PO Interview 

 

After qualifying for the main exam, the selected candidates will receive the IBPS PO interview call letter for the Common Interview Process.

You will have to clear the Personal Interview round for the post of PO in IBPS Associated Banks, which is organized by participating organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State.

Through the Common Interview Process, suitable candidates are for the positions of Probationary Officer.

 

The pattern of Bank PO interviews is as follows:

The IBPS PO Interview consists of a total of 100 Marks, with a minimum of 40% marks for general candidates and 35% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories.

The selection ratio of the written exam & interview round is 80:20.

There will be a deduction of .25 marks for every incorrect answer in both exams.

There will be no negative marking or deduction for an unattempted question.
