IBPS RRB Selection Process for Office Assistant & Officers!

 

Each step of selection criteria of the IBPS RRB Exam varies as per the post of the IBPS RRB.

As per the official IBPS RRB Selection Procedure of Officer Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale I, there are four stages that an aspirant needs to clear:

Preliminary Examination

Mains Examination

Interview (Only for Officer Level)

Provisional Allotment

For the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale II & III, the officials have prescribed a different selection process.

To get qualified for these two posts, the candidates will have to appear only in the Single Level Examination that will be followed by an interview.

Post-Wise Online IBPS RRB Exam Details

 

As we have discussed above, there are four consecutive stages that are included in the Selection Process of IBPS RRB Office Assistant & Scale I posts.

All steps interconnect with each other to form a complete selection process.

Online Preliminary Examination

 

You must be aware of the exact IBPS RRB Exam Pattern before starting to prepare for it.

The exam pattern includes terms like number of questions that will be asked in exam, duration of exam, marking scheme, language, type of questions, etc.

The preliminary exam will be held in both English and Hindi languages.

All questions will be objective type in nature.

The questions will be asked from the Reasoning and Numerical Ability Sections.

There will be total 80 questions (40 from each section) in IBPS RRB Prelims Exam.

1 Mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

You must qualify both the papers to secure minimum IBPS RRB cut off marks.

Qualified candidates in the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear in IBPS RRB Mains Exam.

IBPS RRB Mains Examination

 

Candidates who get successful to reach at minimum IBPS RRB Cut off Marks in prelims, will be eligible to sit for IBPS RRB Mains Examination.

This stage will be harder than the prelims exam to clear.

The questions will be asked from five subjects – Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language or Hindi Language & Computer Knowledge.

All the questions will be objective type only.

The examination will be conducted in online mode (Hindi/English).

The Number of questions including all the sections will be 200.

Maximum 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

You will get 120 minutes to attempt all the questions.

0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Qualified candidates in both the stages are called for the interview process.

The interview procedure is only organised for the post of Officer Scale I, II & III posts. If you apply for the post of Office Assistance, there is no necessity to appear in interview to qualify the exam.

As the interview process is common for Officers posts, we will discuss it after Single Level Examination which is conducted for Officer Scale II & III posts only.

IBPS RRB Single Level Exam (Officer Scale II & III)

 

Check the details about Single Level Exam which is conducted for General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre (Scale II & III posts).

The exam will include five subjects – Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Hindi Language or English Language, Computer knowledge and General awareness.

This test will comprise 200 questions. Each question will be of 1 mark.

You will get 120 minutes to attempt all the questions.

Those who apply for Specialist Cadre will be provided with additional 30 minutes to attempt the supplementary paper (Professional Knowledge Exam).

Total 40 questions with 40 marks will be asked from the Professional Knowledge section.

You should be prepared as per the prescribed format only.

IBPS RRB Interview Procedure (Officer Scale I, II & III)

 

The objective of organising the IBPS RRB Interview to analyse professional knowledge, confidence level, body language, personal insights and attributes, expertise, etc.

Following are the aspects of IBPS RRB Interview Process that need to be considered by aspirants –

The interview process will be co-ordinated by Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the help of NABARD and IBPS.

The interview will be conducted for the posts of Officer Scale I, II & III.

Total marks allotted for interview are 100.

You must secure minimum 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD) to clear interview procedure.

Candidates are advised to bring all the required documents at the time of IBPS RRB Interview Procedure.

If Candidates fail to produce the original documents at the time of verification, his/her candidature can be rejected by authorities.

List of Documents Required During Verification Process

 

The candidates who will not be able to submit the requisite documents in the document verification process will be debarred from further participation in the recruitment process.

Below we have provided the list of documents that candidates need to produce at the time of joining or interview (as applicable).

Interview Call Letter Print out.

IBPS RRB Application Form print out.

Proof of Date of Birth (10th Certificate with/SSLC/or Birth Certificate)

ID Proof

All educational qualification certificates related to the post you applied for.

In the case of the disability category, candidates will be required to present Disability Certificate issued by District Medical Board.

A valid certificate for those who are eligible for age relaxation.

Ex-serviceman should submit a relieve certificate.

 

 

IBPS RRB Provisional Allotment

 

The IBPS RRB Provisional Allotment is the last step to get recruited in Regional Rural Banks.

Once you clear the IBPS RRB Interview Procedure, you will be provisionally allotted to one of the RRB’s.

The final allotments of banks will be done on the basis of merits.

The authorities will consider all the government and other reservation policies before allotting the seats.

Candidates who get selected in the open competition field (unreserved category) on the basis of their own merit, they will not be counted against the reserved category and will be treated as open competition candidates.

Such candidates will only be treated in the reserved category for seat allotment.
