Question 1: Who will be the conducting authority for NEET-UG?

Answer:  NTA will be the conducting authority for NEET UG from 2020. As this year, NTA replaced CBSE.

 

Question 2: What will be the responsibility of NTA?

Answer: Responsibilities of the National testing Agency is limited. NTA will conduct the exam and provide All India Rank.

 

Question 3: When the NEET-UG will be conducted?

Answer: As per the notification released in November 2019 by the NTA, the exam will be conducted on 3rd May 2020 at various centres.

 

Question 4: What will be the exam mode?

Answer: NEET-UG 2020 will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper test), where the pen and question paper along with the OMR sheet will be provided to the candidates at the exam centre.

 

Question 5: Who can appear in NEET 2020?

Answer: Candidates who are:

  • Indian Nationals
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)
  • Foreign Nationals

Question 6: What is the age limit for NEET UG-2020?

Answer: NTA has made certain NEET Eligibility Criteria which is as follows:

Minimum Age Limit:

To appear in the exam the candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission as on 31st December 2020.

Maximum Age Limit:

Candidate must have completed 25 years of the age, as on the date of the examination and 5-year relaxation is provided to the reserved candidates (SC/ST/OBC).

 

Question 7: Candidate who is appearing in class 12th, is eligible to appear for NEET 2020?

Answer: Yes, the candidate who is qualifying class 12th are eligible to appear for NEET 2020 but he/she should not be less than 17 years of the age in the year of admission to the college.

 

Question 8: Candidate who qualified their 12th from the open school are eligible for NEET 2020?

Ans. According to the Medical Council of India, candidates who have completed their 10+2 from any one of the following institutions are allowed to appear in the NEET 2020:

  • National Institute of the Open Schooling
  • State Open Schools
  • Private candidate from the recognised candidates
  • Candidates who opted Biology or Biotechnology as an additional subject.

Note: *They would be subjected to the outcome of Special Leave Petitions/Appeals filed by the Medical Council of India.

 

Question 9: What will be the pattern of NEET UG - 2020?

Answer: As per the latest NEET Exam Pattern, 180 questions will be asked in the exam. Each subject will comprise of the same question weightage i.e. 45 questions from each subject will be asked, from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology and Botany).

Marking scheme goes like:

  • NEET Exam is of 720 marks.
  • For every right answer, a candidate will be awarded 4 marks.
  • 1 mark will be deducted from every wrong answer.

 

Question 10: NEET 2020 Exam will be conducted how many languages?

Ans. NEET exam will be conducted in 9 regional languages including English and Hindi. The list of regional language is as follows;

  • ASSAMESE
  • BENGALI
  • GUJARATI
  • KANNADA
  • MARATHI
  • ODIA
  • TAMIL
  • TELUGU

Question 11: Which courses are enrolled under NEET?

Answer: NEET is conducted to get admission in MBBS, BDS and AYUSH courses.

 

Question 12:Will the admissions for AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry made through NEET?

Answer: NO, AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry will conduct their separate exam.

 

Question 13: What is the dress code for NEET 2020?

Answer: Candidates must wear light colour clothes with half sleeves. Footwear could be sleeper or sandals but that must be low heel, and shoes are not allowed in any case.

Candidates who wear the cultural dress are advised to come 1 hour early before the last reporting time to have a proper check-up by the exam authority.

 

Question 14: How to fill the 2020 Application Form?

Answer: To fill the NEET Application Form, the candidate must visit the official website of the NTA. You are advised to fill all the required details correctly.

 

Question 15: I have made the online payment, but my confirmation page has not been generated.

Answer: This problem occurs due to bank server connectivity. In such a case, you are advised to wait at least 24 hrs.

 

Question 16: If any candidate faces any problem in remittance of fee, to whom can he/she approach?

Answer:  In case of fee remittance, the candidate can contact to a concerned bank.

 

Question 17: How I will get proof of fee paid to NTA for NEET (UG) 2020?

Answer: While filling the NEET Online Application Form when the confirmation page appears, this means your fee has been paid. The confirmation page also gives the following details as a proof;

  • Fee details
  • Transaction Mode
  • Transaction ID

 

Question 18: How to download the NEET Admit Card 2020?

Answer: You can download the NEET Admit Card 2020 by following the steps given below:

  • Go to the official website and click on the Download Admit Card link.
  • Enter your application number and password correctly.
  • Click on the submit button and fetch you admit card.

Question 19: Can a candidate edit their Class 12 qualifying code in the NEET application form? 

Ans. Yes, after the form submission candidate can change all the fields. NTA opens the correction forms window for those candidates who unknowingly filled the incorrect information. It’s a one-time facility which a candidate can avail.

 

Question 20: How to calculate the NEET 2020 cut off marks?

Answer: NEET Cut Off Marks are determined on certain factors:

  • Number of candidates appeared
  • The difficulty level of exam
  • Total number of seats

Cut off marks is decided by the exam authority and a group of experts.

    Sir I have completed my intermediate in MPC through State board and later I did my BIOLOGY through part-time admission in NIOS . NOW I have two certificates from Two INTERMEDIATE boards regarding intermediate. Does NEET accepts two boards for INTERMEDIATE ?
