What is SSC CHSL Tier-II Exam / Descriptive Paper?
SSC CHSL Descriptive Paper is the second phase of SSC CHSL Recruitment Examination. For the first time, the Descriptive Paper was conducted for SSC CHSL 2015 Exam.
A candidate becomes applicable to be a part of this examination only after qualifying the SSC CHSL Tier-1 examination.
When SSC CHSL Results for Tier 1 exam are announced, the name and roll number of the qualified candidates are announced. These qualified candidates have to face the tier 2 (descriptive test) on the scheduled date set as per the scheduled date and events.
Syllabus for SSC CHSL Tier II Exam / Descriptive Paper
The descriptive paper will be given in a narrative and written form. You will be allowed to choose your own medium in writing the exam. It’s a “Pen & Paper Mode” exam.

To be Noted:
The minimum qualifying marks for the descriptive paper will be 33%.
The marks of the descriptive paper will be included with Tier I exam to decide the merit list of successful candidates.
Provision of Compensatory Time: The Visually Handicapped/ orthopedically handicapped candidates afflicted by Cerebral Palsy and the orthopedically handicapped candidate (other than a candidate afflicted by Cerebral Palsy) who has a loco motor disability (40% or more) wherein dominant writing extremity is affected to the extent of slowing the performance of the candidate (such deficiency may either be indicated in the medical certificate submitted by the candidate or else is visible and which after due verification by the Regional Director/Deputy Director concerned is found to be legitimate and bonafide), will be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour.
