Candidates should have a Master's degree or equivalent in Political Science or a related subject from a recognized university.

 

A minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) is required for the General category.

 

Candidates belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender categories must have at least 50% marks.

 

Candidates whose results are awaited or are in the final year of their post-graduation are also eligible for this exam. (PG degree should be completed within 2 years from the UGC NET Result date.

UGC NET 2025 Exam Pattern for Political Science
