IBPS PO Selection Process 2022 – Important Steps Required to Qualify the Exam!
The officials have prescribed each step that needs to be elapsed by candidates to become Probationary Officer

IBPS PO Online Exam – Prelims & Mains!
The process will start from checking the ability of the candidate in Arithmetic, Reasoning, General Awareness & the English language by taking online written tests.
The IBPS PO Online Written Test will be conducted in two distinct phases i.e.
IBPS PO Prelims
IBPS PO Mains
Following will be the IBPS PO Exam Pattern and marking scheme that needs to be followed by aspirants to qualify the CBTs.
IBPS PO Prelims
There will be 100 objective questions comprising 100 marks in IBPS PO Prelims Exam.
Candidates will get 60 minutes to solve the questions of three sections – Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.
There will be sectional and overall cut off marks in IBPS PO Prelims Exam.
IBPS PO Mains
There will be a total of 155 questions in four sections Reasoning & Computer Science, Data Analysis & Interpretation, English Language, and General Awareness/Banking/Economy.
As per IBPS PO Exam Pattern, candidates will get a total of 180 minutes (different for each section) to solve the questions.
Just after completing 180 minutes Paper, candidates will also face IBPS PO Descriptive Paper. This paper will contain two questions (essay & letter) of 25 marks.
The maximum time limit to solve the descriptive paper is 30 minutes.
There will be sectional and overall cut off marks in IBPS PO Mains Exam.
0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer marked by the candidate in both phases.

Candidates who will qualify for both the phases will be eligible to appear in the next segment of the IBPS PO Selection Process i.e. Interview.
IBPS PO Interview – Know the Key Points
This is the third most crucial step of the IBPS PO Selection Process. The IBPS PO Interview process is organized to test the skills of a candidate for professional knowledge, attitude, and confidence level.
Candidates who pass the IBPS PO Prelims and Mains Examinations will be called for an interview.
Below are the details about IBPS PO Interview Process.
Candidates who cleared the minimum IBPS PO Cut off Marks will be subsequently called for the interview that will be conducted by participating organizations.
The interview process will be comprising 100 marks.
Minimum marks to clear the interview round is 40% for general and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
The interviews will be conducted in the selected cities across the country.
While appearing for the interview, you must have to carry the prescribed documents.
A merit list will be prepared by combining the scores of candidates in IBPS PO Mains and Interview exams.
The weightage of marks obtained by the candidates in Mains and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
IBPS PO Provisional Allotment
The candidates will be provisionally allotted on the basis of the final merit list and fulfillment of the criteria for participating organization and identity verification of the allotted organization.
A seat allocation software will be used for the allotment of banks to the candidates.
The allocation of the bank will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates.
Priority will be given to those who scored higher marks than other candidates.
Banks will be allotted as per the availability of seats and the first preference marked by the candidate.
The software will check the availability of the seats. If the seats are full in the firstly preferred bank, then the software will look for the other preferred banks by the candidates to allot the seat.
