While CAT results were delayed by a week to ensure a smooth process, candidates trying to access the site from Saturday evening faced numerous difficulties, including being unable to log on.

Out of 1.70 lakhs students who sat for CAT 2014, 16 students scored 100 percentile to emerge as a toppers.
Two of the 100 percentilers are from IIT Kanpur. For both, it was their first attempt.
UP’s Pranjul Gupta, a final year electrical engineering student, completed his schooling from Lucknow and studied at Kota before making it through to IIT. He has a job offer from Snapdeal in hand, but is now keen to pursue his MBA, preferably from IIM Ahmedabad.
Also from IIT Kanpur is Vishesh Patni, currently pursuing his MSc in physics from the institute. Like Pranjul, he says he wasn’t a swotter, he just made it a point to regularly attend classes and take tests. The 22 year old’s first preference is IIM Calcutta, given its stronghold in finance.
Neha Manglik is the first girl since 2009 to score a 100 percentile. Neha, a student of chemical engineering from BITS, Pilani has completed her schooling from Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi before joining engineering.
On the basis of the results, candidates will also be eligible for admission in the existing 13 IIMs and six proposed ones. Aspiring candidates will be able to get admission in IIMs and other B-schools across the country with the help of CAT.
