The UGC NET 2019 Result and Cutoff Declaration Process comprises of following steps -

Step I: Minimum marks to be obtained in NET for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor:

The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks in both papers as given below:

General Category Candidates – Candidates must secure 40% aggregate marks in both the Papers.

Reserved Category Candidates – Candidates must secure 35% aggregate marks in both the Papers.

Step II: Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of both the papers secured by such candidates.

Hello Shraddha, Greetings from Eduncle! Thanks for sharing your query with us! Firstly calm down and don't panic! Whatever happened, was not your fault, it happened in a hurry or due to some confusion. The correct way of filling the OMR sheet is by darkening the Circle against the answer which is worked upon by you. If the ink is spilled in between the circles, still it will considered incorrect, as you can only darkened the relevant answer in the OMR sheet. For the particular question you may not be given marks, but for the rest of the marked responses you will be definitely rated. So, don't worry. You could have informed the invigilator and would have shared the issue with him. All the Best! Kind Regards, Eduncle Team

hello Sir, THANKYOU, for providing the previous year cut offs, but i am really confused about the cut off this time. This was my first attempt and my score according to the answer on the official site is 65.7%. The score for clearing JRF in gen category was 69.1%. Could you predict the increase and decrease in the cut off this time, as there was a change in the pattern too. Thankyou.
