The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has made it’s another step towards Israel to boost student’s skills. The institute recently signed agreements with three universities in Israel for student exchanges, faculty visits and research collaborations in aerospace, agriculture and computer science.
The program also includes exchange programs for faculty, students and scholars, joint research and exchange of research materials, joint academic activities – teaching and supervision of students, joint conferences, workshops, participation of students in study-abroad programs.
These three universities of Israel are – The Ben-Gurion University (BGU), Hebrew University and University of Haifa.
The agreement regarding student exchange program of IIT KGP with the above universities were made during President Pranab Mukherjee’s recent visit to the country.
The universities are traditionally strong in the areas of computer science, aerospace, agriculture and food engineering etc. which are in synergy with the areas of academics and research at IIT Kharagpur.
