Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata is a unique institution devoted to the research, teaching and application of statistics, natural sciences and social sciences. The institute was founded by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on 17th December, 1931.

The institute gained the status of an Institution of National Importance by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959. The Headquarters of ISI is located in the northern fringe of the metropolis of Kolkata.

Project Name – Analyzing the structure and dynamics of large scale real world complex networks.

No. of vacancies – One (1)

 

Project Name – Computational Methods for Studying HIV-1 Pathogenicity in Humans: Analysis over Multiple Infection Stages, Mechanisms and Biomolecular Networks.

No. of vacancies – One (1)

 

Project Name – Modelling Host-Pathogen Interactions.

No. of vacancies – One (1)

 

Project Name – Interacting CT Images with Gene Expressions using Soft Computing.

No. of vacancies – One (1)

 

Project Name – Tracking of Moving Objects from Video Scenes using Pattern Classifiers.

No. of vacancies – One (1)

 

Project Name – Developing Algorithms for miRNA Expression Analysis in Cancer.

No. of vacancies – One (1)

 

Salary – Rs. 25000 – Rs. 30000 p.m.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: –

 ME/M.tech. or equivalent in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology.

 Candidates should have first class marks in all the Board/ University examinations from Class X onwards.

Preference – Working Experience in the related areas.

Essential – Good knowledge in Computer Programming (C/C++/Java).

Age Limit – 35 years
