NIT Meghalaya Admissions for Ph.D. | Apply Before 27th Nov, 2015

NIT Meghalaya RecruitmentThe National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya, is one among the thirty NITs in India established under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012) of the Parliament of India.

NIT Meghalaya has released admission notification for Ph.D. program in various disciplines and areas starting from January 2016.

Candidates who are interested in pursuing the Ph.D. Program and fulfill the below criteria may apply before 27th Nov, 2015.



Program Details

1. Program offered: Doctor of Philosophy

2. Various Disciplines:

Computer Science & Engineering

Electronics & Communication Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Civil Engineering



3. Categories of Ph.D. Programs:

Full Time

Part Time

Project Fellow


4. Total Seats: 15

5. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should have done Master’s degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/ Science/ Technology/ Management Sciences/ or Master’s degree in related subjects and have scored minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the Master’s degree. Or Candidates with B.E./ B. Tech. with an aggregate of 75% marks or equivalent GPA with valid GATE score. For those applying for Ph. D in Humanities and Social Sciences, minimum 55% marks should have been obtained in the Master’s degree.

6. Selection Process: Written Test

7. Application Fees:

For General Candidates: INR 500

For SC/ST Candidates: INR 250
