NIT, Arunachal Pradesh was inaugurated on 18thAugust, 2010 as a member of a group of ten new NITs. These new NITs were established as centres of excellence in technical education to combat the growing need of technological professionals in India as well as in the World.

SMDP-C2SD: Sponsored by DeitY, MCIT, Govt. of India: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) leading to Ph. D

New Simulated Annealing based Optimal Tuning of Fractional Order Proportional – Integral – Derivative (PID) Controller: sponsored by NIT Arunachal Pradesh: Junior Research Fellowship

Visvesvaraya PhD scheme: Sponsored by DeitY, MCIT, Govt. of India: PhD (Part time)

2. Total Vacancies: 05

3. Pay Scale:

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF) leading to Ph. D: INR 25000

For Junior Research Fellowship: INR 25000

For PhD (Part time): 2.5 Lakh at the time of successful completion of Ph. D. Degree

4. Eligibility Criteria:

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF) leading to Ph. D & PhD (Part time):

Candidates should have done M.E. /M. Tech. /M.S. in Electronics /Communications/Computer Science /Microelectronics/Solid-state Technology/MEMS/Nano Science/Nano Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (60% of marks).

For SC/ST candidates, a minimum CGPA of 6.0 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (55% of marks).

Preference will be given to GATE/NET qualified candidates.

Candidates should have done B.E. /B. Tech. with a valid GATE score and with an excellent academic record and with a CGPA of at least 8.0 (on 10 point scale) or equivalent (75% of marks).

For graduates from IITs/NITs, the minimum CGPA requirement is 7.0 (on 10 point scale).

For SC/ST candidates, there is a relaxation of 0.5 CGPA or 5% of marks

For Junior Research Fellowship

Candidates should have done M. Tech in Control System Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (60% of marks).

For SC/ST candidates, a minimum CGPA of 6.0 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (55% of marks).

Candidates should have done B. Tech in Electrical Engineering with some experience at working in the field of Control System Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (60% of marks).

For SC/ST candidates, a minimum CGPA of 6.0 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (55% of marks). Candidate under this category must have a valid GATE score.

5. Application Fees: INR 500 (for SC/ST/PH Candidates INR 300)

Application fees should be paid through demand draft in favor of “The Director, National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh” payable at SBI, Nirjuli (SBIN0009535).

6. Selection Process: Selection process includes written test and viva voce round.
