After their success at the Indian Wells, the Sania and Martina maintained their momentum and stormed into the final of Miami Open. In the summit clash, the top seeds were broken thrice in the first set but they managed to bounce back and took the first set 7-5. The second set was far easier in comparison with the two conceded just one game to finish the match in 66 minutes.
Earlier, Sania and Martina breezed into the final with a straight sets win over Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic. Whereas, the No. 2-seeded Makarova and Vesnina beat No. 9 seeds Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka in the semis.
