Question 1 – What is SSC exam?

Answer – SSC stands for the Staff Selection Committee. SSC is the national level exam which is conducted to recruit the various post in the ministries, departments of Government of India. It is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

 

Question 2 – How many exams are conducted by the SSC?

Answer – SSC mainly conducts 8 exams namely:

SSC JE

SSC CGL

SSC CHSL

SSC Stenographer

SSC MTS

SSC JHT

SSC CPO

SSC Constable GD

Question 3 – For which post SSC Exam is conducted?

Answer – SSC exam is conducted to recruit the candidates for various post under the Government of India.

Staff Selection Committee conducts the exam every year to recruit the candidates to fulfil a large number of vacancies for the post like Auditors, Inspectors of Income-tax/ Central excise, Grade-C Stenographer, Grade-D Lower Divisional Clerk.

 

Question 4 – What are the required qualifications for the SSC exam?

Answer – The Staff Selection Committee conducts the exam regularly to fulfil a large number of vacancies which are for Matrix pass, Secondary pass and the Graduated candidates.

 

Question 5 – What is the exam pattern for the SSC exam?

Answer – SSC exam is held every year for different posts. Every exam follows the different exam pattern. But for most of the posts, candidates first have to qualify the prelims exam followed by the Mains and Interview. Some posts such as Section Officer, Investigators etc. do not have prelims exam while posts like Stenographer requires to clear the typing skills.

 

Question 6 – What is the Age limit for SSC exam?

Answer – The general age limit criterion falls between 18-27 years. The age relaxation is provided for the reserved category which is as follows:

  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
  • Other Backward caste: 3 years
  • Physical handicapped: 10 years
  • Widows and divorced UR: 35 years age limit
  • Widows and divorced SC/ST: 40 years
  • Widows and divorced OBC: 38 years

Question 7 – Is there any SSC fees relaxation for any category?

Answer – Yes, the Staff Selection Committee avails the fee relaxation for categories:

  1. SC
  2. ST
  3. Physically handicapped
  4. Ex-servicemen

Above mentioned category candidates are exempted from the fee payment for some of the SSC exam.

 

Question 8 – Does Commission release any yearly calendar?

Answer – Yes, the SSC releases an annual calendar for the examination generally, in the month of September/October. You can check it from the official website of the SSC.

 

Question 9 – Does SSC releases any correction form to change the exam date and exam centre?

Answer – No, the exam authority does not entertain such a request from the applied candidates. Even if their exam date is clashing with other organizations.

 

Question 10 – How can a candidate apply for the SSC exam?

Answer – Once the commission releases the notification, the candidate needs to first login using their registered number and SSC registration password. After logging in to the website they have to fill the Online Application Form.

 

Question 11 – Is it possible to appear in 2019 SSC exam with the same registration number of 2017?

Answer – No, after the launch of Commission’s new website on 20-07-2018, Registration Number and Password allotted prior to that date cannot be used. The candidate would require to register afresh registration number.

Question 12 – How to make a fee payment?

Answer – Candidate can easily pay the SSC exam fee either by online mode or offline mode. For online mode, you can use BHIM UPI, Net Banking and for offline mode, payment can be made only through the SBI bank challan.

 

Question 13 – Is there any negative marking scheme in the SSC exam?

Answer – Yes, SSC follows the negative marking scheme. But for every post, there is a different marking criterion. You can check the official website for complete details.

 

Question 14 – How many vacancies are there in SSC exam?

Answer – There is no fixed number of the job vacancy. Vacancies for the various posts are updated on the official website of the SSC. The concerned candidates can check the latest notifications to keep themselves up to date.

 

Question 15 – Does SSC follows the normalization process?

Answer – Yes, the normalization process is adopted only for the exam which is conducted in the multiple shifts for SSC exam.

 

Question 16 What is the procedure for onetime Registration?

Answer – To register yourself, first visit the SSC official website. Click on the SSC Registration Link on the right side “(New User? Register Now)”. Fill all the details and follow the complete SSC Registration Process.

 

 

 

 

Question 17 – Does Commission change the exam date in case of clashing with any another exam date?

Answer – No, the commission does not entertain such request to change the exam date clashing with other organization’s exam date.

 

Question 18 – What to do in case of failure of photo and signature in one-time registration process?

Answer – All you need to do is, check your photo and signature, size and format. Scanned coloured passport size photograph in JPEG format and signature should not exceed the range of 20 kb.

 

Question 19 – I’m not receiving my registration and password on my registered email address.

Answer – You can check your spam folder in your email. If in case, you still did not find it there is a possibility that you have entered wrong email ID. You can also contact the helpline number of the commission.

 

Question 20 – Did the commission refund the fees once paid it?

Answer – No, the commission does not refund any fee once it is paid.

    I paid fee through bhim..but the transaction was failed ....while am paying fee again ...it showiing that request cannot be processed..but payment status was showing that payment have not yet done...wat to do ?
