UGC NET (University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test) is a test to determine the eligibility of aspirants for lectureship and for awarding Junior Research Fellowship.

UGC NET Subject List 2019 – Subjects Catered in the Exam!

 

There are two Papers in UGC NET Exam i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

UGC NET Paper 1 is common for all the subjects whereas Paper 2 is based on the subject that you opt the exam.

The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET Exam for 82 different subjects including Paper 1.

Most of these subjects belongs to non-science stream like Arts, Humanities, Education, Management, etc.

The meaning of this start is –

Single Star means – Aspirants with postgraduation in Geography subject (with specialization in Population Studies) or Mathematics/Statistics subject can also apply for 'Population Studies'.

Double Stars Means - The aspirants with postgraduation in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences are eligible to appear in the subject 'Women Studies'.
